HI, so I know this chapter is kind of boring. But it's more so just a filler to set the scene a little. Enjoy! :)

The girls made their way to the couch. The two had been pretty much ditched by everyone they came with. Lee was with his friends at the bar, Sylvia and Megan had made their way to a bedroom to sleep and Lily was flirting with her ex across the party. They didn't know what to expect seeing each other again. Fearing it might be awkward with Iris's now much stronger attraction to the woman. But it wasn't. They didn't even have to talk, there was just a mutual nonverbal feeling that they were both happy to be back in each others presence. The two watched the party go on in front of them gently leaning against each other. Iris felt her heart beat faster everytime Odessa adjusted herself to be closer, or turned her head slightly to look at Iris from the corner of her eye. Thinking Iris wouldn't see her, but of course she did. Iris couldn't help but smile knowing she was being watched.

Odessa had always been around but Iris never made an effort to speak to her because she was intimidating. She felt untouchable. Her long locks over her shoulders and her confident smile, the way she walked with a slight strut no matter where she was going. Iris wondered how Odessa looked at her, if even at all. She did. She noticed the way Iris fiddled with her hair when she was concentrating, or how her knee bounced when it was just them. But also how even when she wasn't smiling, her eyes were. They were full of life all the time. Every time Iris turned her head to look at her, Odessa would just melt into the ground right then and there.

Eventually the party dwindled. Iris was looking around to see if she knew anyone who could give her a ride. But no one she knew was there or able to drive anymore. Odessa turned her gaze to look at her putting the pieces together what Iris was looking for.

"My car is outside, if you need a ride home. I haven't had a drink in a couple hours, so you won't have to worry about reckless driving." Iris turned to Odessa with a gentle smirk resting on her face. Odessa noticed now more than ever that Iris' eyes, no matter how calm and kind they looked, she felt small under her gaze. Her crystal eyes felt as though they could burn holes through Odessa. "So kind of you Lowenstein." She responded with a slight smirk. "You came with a group, no? They won't care if you leave." Odessa let out a breathless chuckle. "No, I lost them ages ago. They'll be ok, we kind of have a routine. One of us drives and by the end of the night we've all spilt off. Actually come to think of it I can't remember the last time we left collectively the way we came." Iris nodded her head with a small laugh, and at that her and Odessa were making their way to the front lawn.

Odessa pulled into a small parking lot next to a large building. Iris lifted her feet from under her to slip her shoes back on.

"Thanks for the ride, I probably would've had to sleep on the couch if I hadn't found one."

Odessa turned her head to get a better look at Iris as she spoke. "Of course." As Iris swung her door open and turned to step at the car, she hesitated. Odessa frowned slightly at this waiting for her to move. Her face looked like she was contemplating something. "If you want, you could come in and rest a bit before your drive back?" Without word Odessa turns the car off and gets out just as Iris does the same. Odessa admittedly was a bit upset when she thought dropping Iris off would be the end of the night for them.

As Odessa stepped into Iris' room she took a moment to look around. Last time she was in here she was far too tired to realize what her room presented. Her room was a bit bigger than small. Her bed was decorated with white sheets and colorful pillows and had two neatly decorated nightstand on either side. At the end of her bed on the opposite wall was a messy desk covered in note books, papers, paints, and sketches of all sorts. She had plants all over with posters and lights scattering the top half of one wall. And of course the one thing Odessa did remember clearly, the bay window. It was small with three mini nooks, also decorated with colorful pillows and a blanket. A book shelf with piled books on each shelf, far from neat. Iris watched carefully as Odessa scanned the room with her eyes. Lips slightly twitched up. Odessa spun on her heels to face Iris, who was standing a couple inches behind Odessa in the door way.

"What, why are you looking at me like that?" Iris could feel her heart rate jump slightly. Her room was something of another level of privacy. Most friends of hers never even slept over, her room was her space and her space only.
