____________________________________The morning sun blared through the crack in my curtains onto my face. Groaning I turned over to look at the clock. 6:00am. I buried my face into to pillows and took a deep breath knowing I would have to be up in about 30 minutes. Slowly I pulled my covers up careful not to disturb my cat sleeping peacefully a few inches from my feet. Dragging out of bed sometimes felt like pulling a bag of bricks on concrete. Still I managed to pull together a somewhat presentable look just before my alarm clock rang.
"Bye mum! I'll be late coming home I've got plans with some friends after school!" I yelled from across the flat. "Ok just be home before 8:00pm I've got diner planned!" I swung the door closed behind me. Hopping down the tiled flights of stairs and made my way down the stone path leading to my school. I watched the clock carefully in each morning class, then at lunch, then afternoon classes. Til finally my last class was over and I made my way across the court yard to meet some friends.
After quick hellos we all got settled and soon there was about 15 of us spread about under a tree next to a rather hidden path all talking and laughing and high out of our minds. I was leaning against the tree talking with one of my good friends of many years. As I let out a loud laugh at something she had said I caught a glimpse of someone out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head all the way to see a girl walking across the path and into the field towards our group. She was wearing well fitted bell bottoms and a loose tang top tucked in with a low v line and sleeves just wide enough to cover her shoulders. A bag loosely draped over one shoulder and her locks held up with a loose rubber band. Mum always told me I had a questionable habit for focusing to much on the little details but I found it rather useful most times. It was Odessa. She looked good in a messy bun, it complimented her narrow cheekbones. She smiled brightly with a hint of a smirk as she turned her gaze towards me. I returned the expression and went back to my conversation. After that every once in a while we would meet eyes from across the small field and eventually it was just us and a few other people now under the dimming sun. Until her friend was waving goodbye and it was just us two.
"And then there were two" Odessa said in a low voice slumping against the tree next to me. I chuckled at her generic remark. "Soon to be one, I have to get home my moms cooking diner right about now." I responded. "Oh common stay a bit, hang out with me." She practically whined as she lit a cigarette and sat with it in between her fingers. I sighed and pulled the cigarette out of her hand to smoke. "I really can't I told my mom I'd be home. But I'll give my number so we can hang out, tomorrow?" She looked at me for a second to contemplate my words. "Ok fine, here" she handed me a piece of paper and a pen from her bag. "And your address too. Why not." She said with a sweet smile. "Bye Lowenstein" I chuckle standing up and walking away looking back only for a second to see her still sitting under the tree smoking settling her arm next to her from waving.

3:00am. I laid towards the end of my bed listening to my radio near my head. Suddenly my telephone rang. I leapt over my bed quick so the loud rings wouldn't wake my mother. "Hello" I sighed slightly annoyed at whoever thought it was a good idea to call me in the middle of the night. "Hey." A voice came through. "Odessa? It's 3:00am why are you calling me?" Silence. "I'm outside."
"Wait I think I didn't hear you right. Right now? Why? I'm confused." Then through the phone that mocking chuckle the one that made my blood boil both lustfully and angrily. "Well don't hurt yourself now, I'll be waiting just by the entrance and hurry up." And just like that a long beep came from the other line. I sat for a couple seconds dumb founded because there was no way Odessa Lowenstein is at my house at 3:00am expecting me to go hang out with her. Well apparently it wasn't that crazy cause about 5 minutes later I found myself walking down the stairs to the front yard of my flat building.
