"Delivery for Choi San," the nurse cheerfully announced while he walked through the door, a stunning smile adorning his face. It was one that reached the eyes quite prettily. "I'm Nurse Jang," he introduced happily while he placed the unappetising food down beside the patient.

"Hey." San furrowed his brows, noticing how the food was mere mush of different colours, and with his lips pursed, he sent a forced smile back to the overly friendly nurse before poking it with the plastic spoon.

"I'll be back to give you your medications after breakfast," the older continued cheerily before sending San an encouraging wave and leaving.

He had been up for quite some time already. At the early hour of half six, San had been woken up for his normal tests such as blood pressure. After Doctor Min had left, he had spent his time chatting with Wooyoung who he figured was just naturally friendly, not that he was complaining at all.

"Do you not get to eat some of this gloop?" San teased, noticing how the nurse had only given him some breakfast. The brunette giggled at this though before picking up his blanket.

"I have some blood works a little later so I have to fast until then," he explained while fiddling with the white fabric that covered his legs. "But don't let that put you off you delicious meal. I can't wait for mine."

San grumbled profanities under his breath as he put the spoon in his mouth and forced himself to swallow the grotesque food - if you could even call it that.

"So I was thinking, San," Wooyoung began, carding his hand through his overgrown locks before settling his gaze on the other who was still wincing at the taste of it. "Maybe we could do something fun today. I mean how fun could a day in the hospital be?" He grumbled the last but with a sour tone but didn't dwell on the depressing thought for any longer.

"Like what?"

"Like....card games, or crosswords or maybe even a puzzle!" He exclaimed excitedly, his brow cocked with hopes of the elder boy agreeing to at least one of the above.

"One a day?"

"One a day."

"What's a six lettered word for something that smells nice?" San mumbled while twirling the pen that he held. Fortunately for the pair, Nurse Jang got them a crossword book when San had asked after getting his medications. It had been about two hours of them putting their heads together to beat the 'Master Puzzle', as it was titled.

Wooyoung counted out letters on his hands before shaking his head dismally. He continued this process until finally he came up with candle, and so the taller wrote it down with a proud smile. "And that's today's crossword complete," he joyously noted, showing the filled out page to Wooyoung who responded with a big thumbs up.

"Well Sannie," the younger playfully quipped after giving his roommate a high five. "I think we make a bloody good team.

"I have to agree, Woo."

To say that San was glad to be roomed with the enthusiastic brunette would be an understatement. There was still quite some discomfort due to his injuries, but with the helpful mix of pain meds and a fun day, it was definitely an improvement from the day before.

Maybe this hospital stay wouldn't be as unbearable as he imagined.
