You're frozen in thought as Ymir walks past you. Your first real conversation with someone from this school and you started it by running into someone. Suddenly you're snapped out of your daze by the sound of the loud bell ringing. It's time for school to start. In the midst of your panic you forget what your first period is. "Uh.. history? Wasn't it history?.. shit", you mumble under your breath as you throw your bag down and begin to search for your schedule. Once you find it, you find out that it has your classes and the teachers names, but not the location of the building. You sigh and walk to the nearest building.

You begin to walk the halls slowly, hoping that you can remember where the first period room was. You saw it for only a couple of minutes on that day you visited to get your groundings. Your anxiety spikes as you notice that fellow students are pooling into the building through the doors, rushing to get to their classes before they were counted as tardy. A blonde girl with a stern face begins to walk past you. Maybe she knows where the history class is.

"Um.. excuse me?", you quietly try to grab her attention. She doesn't even look your way as she walks past. That was embarrassing. It only took one fail for you to give up on trying to get others to help you. You become overwhelmed  by the people rushing through the hallways. You step out a door on the side of the hallway to go outside again. Maybe some quick fresh air can clear your head. There's some stairs that lead to the upstairs part of the building. You sit down on them and take a deep breath. When you inhale, you cough at the smell of something nasty. "Is that... cigarette smoke?" you think. "Are you a snitch, new girl?" a familiar voice rings from under the stairs. "Um... no?" you respond nervously. "What are you doing? I mean.. I know what you're doing but... what if you get caught?" "Why do you care? And there's no cameras that can can see me here. Plus none of the teachers or whatever step out over here. They usually just go through the inside of the school.", she didn't seem concerned at all. Another bell rings. The tardy bell.

"Sounds like you're late new girl. I guess your first day isn't going to well." You can only sigh in response. "Can you help ..me? I don't know where my first class is.", you say, hoping she won't respond in a snappy tone. To your surprise, she steps out from under the stairs after putting out her cigarette. She stands in front of you and grabs your schedule from your hands. "Oooooh shit you have history with Smith. I have that class too." she hands your schedule back. "Need me to show you where he is?" "Yes please.", you stand up and walk as the girl leads you back inside and down the hallway. She stands in front of a door and opens it with no hesitation.

"Ah Ymir. Will you be joining us today?", a male voice says from the room. It seems like she's often late or absent by his tone. "I guess since I'm already here. I brought a guest though." Her words make you anxious. You walked closer to the door, knowing that everyone will be looking in your direction to see the new 'guest'. You shuffle through the door and come face to face with what felt like millions of judging faces. "Oh Mrs.(Y/N)! Welcome! Take a seat and I'll help get you adjusted to everything. Ymir I would like to have a word with you.

She sighs and walks over to the blonde mans desk. You make your way past them and sit in an empty desk at the front of the room in the corner. It was the only empty seat other than the empty seat beside it. You can hear Mr. Smith and Ymir's conversation since you were close to his desk. "Have you been smoking? I don't want to have to report you.", he says with a stern tone as he whispers. "Are you trying to tell me I stink? No I haven't been smoking. Maybe you should think before you speak.", she snaps and turns around. He furrows his large eyebrows but doesn't seem to care much about her disrespectful tone. She must do this often. She takes the empty seat next to you and looks over at you. A small smirk grows on her face as she says, "Hope you don't mind if I sit here." "No i-it's fine.", you didn't mean to stutter. She lets out a light laugh and looks at the board in the front of the room as class begins.
