The rest of your first day of school wasn't very eventful. But you'd rather it be uneventful; than bad. Overall, you were happy you made some nice friends. And all of your teachers seem to like you too. You make your way home, exhausted from your eventful day.
"Hi sweetie! How was your first day of school!", your mother chirped from the kitchen as you make your way through the door. "It was good, actually. I met some people and got all my classes and stuff under control.", you say. "I'm so glad to hear. Got a lot of homework?" "A little. I'll go work on that.", you say as you walk down the hallway and into your room.
You drop your bag onto the ground and close your door behind you. With a tired sigh, you collapse onto your bed. You could almost feel as you were drifting off to sleep. Your head and body began to feel heavy, then suddenly your phone rang a notification. You grab it and hold it to your face. An unknown number has sent you a text. "Yo it's Ymir. You didn't give me a fake number right?", the text says. "I guess it's Ymir", you think as you add the number to your contacts. "Nope it's me lol", you respond.
"Sweet. Got any plans tonight?", she texts. "I have a little bit of homework to do. Hby?", you respond. "Laaaaameee. Come hang out w me at the park tonight." she sends. You really didn't feel like going on an adventure tonight. The day drained you and you needed to rest. "I don't think I will tonight. Maybe another time soon though" "Fine then I'll come over. What's your address?", she asks. You're shocked that she's so quick to come visit you at your house. "Idk how my mom would feel about that." "Okay then I'll just come over later without her knowing." "Like sneaking in?? That's really risky!", you text. "I'm a pro don't worry."
Her confidence sways you to send her you're address. You work on your homework and hope that you don't fall asleep half way through. "Is it weird that she's so adamant about seeing me tonight? Does she really like me that much? Does she...'like' like me? " your mind trails off and you struggle to focus on you're work.
(Y/N), dinner's ready!", your mom says outside you're door. It snaps you out of your deep thinking and you realize you've been sitting there for an hour without getting barely any work done. You get up from your desk and step into the living room and eat dinner with your mom. She made spaghetti. You both enjoyed your meals as you talk about your days. It was getting late and your mom yawned more than she talked. "Goodnight. See you in the morning kiddo.", she smiles and tiredly makes her way to her bedroom after taking the dirty dishes and placing them in the dish washer. You make your way back to your room to finish your work.
Right as you sit down, you hear a knocking at your window. You jump and let out a small scream. Your head jerked to look at the window where you can see Ymir smiling and waving. You rush over and open your window. "You fucking scared me!", you whisper-scream at her. "Chill out man it's just me." she steps through your window and makes her way into your room. "Nice place.", she looks around. "So why did you feel such a need to come over or hang out or whatever", you say. You didn't mean to sound so agitated, but you were still getting over being scared.
She takes off her boots and plops herself onto your bed, resting her arms behind her head. "Things were...pretty boring at my house. So I didn't want to stick around.", she says with a hesitation. "Fair enough.", you say as you sit beside her. Her stomach loudly growls. "Have you eaten anything since lunch?", you ask her. "Uh.. no. It's fine though.", she says. "I have some left over spaghetti. Let me go get you some.", you say and sneak into the kitchen, hoping to not wake your mom. You microwave a bowl of left over spaghetti, but make sure to open to door before it beeps.
You quietly walk back to your room and hand her the spaghetti with a fork. "You really didn't have to.", she says quietly. It looked like she was blushing. "Well I don't want you to be hungry." "You're really caring. Why? I mean you just met me today, I'm kind of a bitch, but you don't want me to go hungry.", she begins to eat. You didn't know what to say so the room was quiet. "It's really cool y'know. There's not a lot of people like that." "Like what?" "Y'know... sweet. Genuinely caring. Empathetic...", she trails off and fiddles with the food gently with her fork. "Or.. uh whatever.", she seems to be blushing again. Her strong and confident exterior seemed to slowly crumble as she gathered words together to describe you. Her blush was contagious as your face grew red from her compliments. "I think you're just... really good.", she says and begins to eat, hoping it will keep herself from saying too much more. "I think you're really good too." you say. She stops chewing and makes eye contact with you for a second, but can't keep it for very long as her whole face glows red.
