Bad For You (Modern Highschool Ymir x Reader

(Part 7)

     "So... what's up? I mean it's late and I don't think there's much to do.", you ask. She finishes chewing what's in her mouth and swallows before speaking. "Got bored and drove here. Wanna ride around a little?", she asks. "Ride around!? Like in a car!? My mom would kill me if I just left the house this late.", you say, shocked that she would form a plan like that out of no where. "So.. just don't tell her. Hop out the window with me and I'll get you back home before your mom even wakes up.", she says and takes another bite of her meal. "It's a small town. I don't know what you did back in your home town for fun, but here all we really got is driving around, go to the same store 5 times a week, aaannnd that's about it.", she shrugged. You let out a small sigh. "Do I want to decline? Will I look lame? I guess mom wouldn't hear me if I was quiet enough..", you reasoned with yourself in your thoughts.

     "Fine. But only for a little bit.", you say, still a bit unsure. "Perfect! Let's go!", she excitedly puts the empty bowl and fork onto your bed side table and makes her way to your open window, climbing out of it. You follow her lead and slowly make your way out of the window. You'd never done something like this before and you lost you began to lose balance as you prepared to make the very small jump onto the ground. As your foot slips and your body falls forward, you nearly let out a scream. Before you could hit the ground, Ymir has come to the rescue and caught you. "Damn. You're really clumsy.", she says with a smile as she helps you regain your balance and sets you down feet first. "If we're gonna do this often then you're gonna have to get better at climbing through windows." "What! I never said that this was going to be an often occurrence.", you whisper yelled. "Yeah yeah whatever. Let's get going. ", she said as she wrapped an arm around your neck and walked you to her car that was parked outside of your drive way.

     You get inside and she begins to drive. She had her phone connected to the radio and shuffled through a playlist. A song by the Arctic Monkeys began to play. "So.. where are wee going?", you ask. "No where really. Unless you want to go somewhere. I just like to drive around at night. There's a road up here that no one drives on anymore so you can go as fast as you want." It was a bit relaxing to just look out the window and listen to the music. "Check this out.", she says as she rolls the window on your side down. "Hang outside the window.", she said. "What?!" "Just stand up and let your body stick out a little. It's really fun.", she said. You unbuckled your seat belt and did as she said. The upper half of your body was sticking out of the window. You gripped the top of the car with one hand and the bottom of the window with the other. 

     The road was dark with not a single car or house in sight. Just trees that surrounded you. They were almost close enough to where you could touch them. This must be the road that she was talking about how you can go fast on it. You felt as the car began to speed up. Your hair was flying behind you and your shirt was waving in the wind like a flag. It was exhilarating and you couldn't help but smile. It was almost like a roller coaster. As the car sped up even more, you felt as if you were flying. 

     You closed your eyes because the force of the wind and air made it hard for them to stay open. Still, you felt a sense of freedom. All of your worries had been left in the dist behind you. Suddenly, you feel something touch your left leg, tapping it. It was Ymir trying to get your attention. You lowered your body back into the car and rolled the window up. "The road ends soon so I'm gonna turn back around.", she says and looks over at you. "Holy shit.", she laughs. "Your hair looks nuts!", she laughs as she slows the car down. You touch your hair and begin to laugh too. The wind had caused it to poof up, almost like a cartoon.

     She turned the car around and began to drive back in the direction of your house. You ran your fingers through your hair to try and get it to look decent. Neither one of you were talking, but the music kept the car from being silent. You watched as Ymir slowed down and parked near your drive way, just far enough so your mom wouldn't hear. 

     You both get out and she walks with you back to your window. "Think you can get back in without falling?", she jokes. "Oh shut up.", you chuckle and playfully shove her shoulder. You then pull yourself up and through the window, making sure to quietly step back onto the floor of your room. "I had a great night.", you say with a smile. "Yeah. I didn't think you'd actually say yes. Maybe you're not as uptight as I thought.",  she smirked. You then say goodnight to each other and you close your window. You watch as she walks away until you can't make out her silhouette in the darkness of the night. You then turn off your lamp and lay down on your bed, tired from your short adventure. Her face was all you could think of as you quickly drifted off the sleep.
