"Attention, McKinley idiots!" Sue's voice rang through the speakers on the school's hallways. "It's homecoming week, which means that a bunch of old farts will be creeping around the hallways like Game of Thrones' White Walkers horrifying you with their beer bellies and their liver spots. And that's just the class of 2012. FYI, the much-beloved McKinley High homecoming dance is canceled, due to... Hum, let's say Sharia law."

***

In spite of the cancellation of the homecoming dance, most of the glee kids had decided to come back for a week or two at Rachel's request, after she had desperately tried to get hold of everyone once she realized Sue Sylvester had destroyed their glee club. So, there they were, back in that choir room that held so much meaning to them all but that, somehow, felt very cold and empty despite all of the familiar faces.

"It's so great to have you all together in this room again." Rachel smiled, as she looked over everyone's faces. "It means so much to us that you would come at the drop of a hat."

Piper nodded with a small smile, but before Rachel could even continue, she felt Quinn moving slightly in her seat beside hers and frowned as she turned to look at her fiance, who leaned forward a bit to get closer to Artie.

"Artie, are you drawing me?" She asked, as Artie shrugged, without even looking up from his sketch.

"Nope, just your boobs." He said, causing Piper to frown as she kicked the back of his chair in warning. "I'm practicing for my storyboarding class."

Slightly jealous, Piper rolled her eyes with a scowl.

"The shadow and light play is all wrong on your drawing, by the way." She said, as Artie turned to her with a mixture of offense and fear in his eyes, considering Piper Snow knew a lot more about sketching than Artie ever would in his whole life.

"Okay, we need to focus." Rachel clapped once, trying to get everyone's attention back again as Quinn turned to Piper with an amused smile and placed a hand on her thigh in reassurance.

"Yeah, guys, we really got to focus here, okay?" Kurt nodded.

"W-we're in crisis mode, all right?" Rachel stuttered a bit as she started talking faster than usual, like she did whenever she got nervous. "Glee club has done so much for all of us, you know? It brought us together, it gave us hope, it put us out in the world... And it brought some of us home again."

"She's talking about me." Sam interrupted, as Rachel just sighed, and continued with her speech anyway.

"Here's the situation." She said. "We need you guys back... Not all the time. We realize that you have lives in other places. We've got to get glee club back on its feet, you know?"

"Especially since now some of us are the competition." Kurt said, as Sam nodded.

He's talking about Schue and Blaine." He added.

"We need you back." Rachel repeated. "Not all the time, but if you're not here, then the tradition of the club we love so much will be gone. So we're going to find kids that can bring something to it the same way that we did, and we will mentor them based on our strengths."

"But right now we really got to get out there and take on the school." Kurt smirked a bit and, just by the expression on his face, Piper knew he had a little something up his sleeve. "You know, really rattle Sue's cage. We are going to give McKinley a little taste of what they've been missing."

And so, as Piper joined the rest of her friends with an impromptu performance of A-ha's Take on me, she couldn't really care less that no one paid them any mind as they sang around the school. At that moment, she was just happy to be back home with her family.
