"Emily, Emily, are you okay?" Colby says, trying to snap me out of it. "Huh, oh um yeah I'm fine." I reply. I get off of colby and walk into the bathroom. I use it then come back out. "Are you sure?" Colby ask again. "Yes, i- I'm fine, thank you." I reassure him.
"Okay, just don't be afraid to tell me anything" He says. I nod my head and ask, "do you have any shorts in here?" I needed some because it was hot. "Um, no but go ask my mom, she is up." Colby suggests. I walk out the bedroom to see Mrs. Brock downstairs sitting in the couch. "Oh, hi, umm do you have any shorts?" I ask. She looks at me "you know what, I do, but instead let's take you to get your own." She replys.
E- no you don't have to do that.
Mb- it's not a problem, I laid some jeans and a shirt and my room, take those.
E-thank you, for everything.
Mb- no problem, also there is money in the pockets, it's 200$, you and Cole go together, but hide yourselfs, you can't get caught. I'll call an Uber.
E- thank you.
I walk up to the room and grab the jeans and the plain white shirt. I see the money, and I think is this too much? I walked into the guest room to see Colby already dressed. I just give him a smile. We head down stairs and get into the uber. He hugs his mom bye and we leave.

We arrive at the store and get out. I walk around and get clothes and shoes. So does Colby we check out and leave. We head back to the house to be greeted with a surprise. Colby's mom rushed us inside.
Mb- take the suitcase in the room, lack your clothes and take this.
She hands me an envelope.
Mb- it's 10 thousand dollars. The Uber will be taking you to LA.there is already an apartment, two rooms, and furniture, here is two phones with my number already on it. I love you cole.
C- mom slow down, why?
Mb- the cop- there here! Hurry!
Me and Colby rushed upstairs packing suit cases. We open the window and look at the drop. We then hear the door bardge open so we don't hesitate to jump. We run to the car and jump in. The driver steps on the gas.
C- are you okay?
E- yes
C- good, I guess this is a goodbye to Kansas.
E- *nod*
