What was taking Nico so long? It had been at least ten minutes. I crept up to the window near the door. Hazel and Nico were gone! I drew my sword, in case of any monsters. I heard a throat being cleared behind me. I whirled around to see Nico. He grinned. "You're not going to try to kill me are you?"
I sheathed my sword. "Are you two done?"
He cleared his throat again. "Yes. And Reyna, I would like to you ask you..."
Fireworks boomed in the distance. Nico cursed. "That wasn't the cue!" I heard a small: sorry! And the fireworks were cut off.
"Reyna, will you join me, in traveling the world?" He held out a hand.
Blushing I took it. "Yes. I'd love to."
EIGHT YEARS LATER
"That, was a long trip!" I exclaimed. Nico and I were now almost 30 years old. I couldn't believe that seeing the entire world could take so long. "Reyna?" I turned to see my Nico, kneeling on the ground. In his hand he held a box. He opened it, revealing a long sword. "I know you've never had a thing for rings, so, will you marry me?"
Tears welled in my eyes and I nodded. He removed my old sword and replaced it with the new golden one. In the background, I heard cheers from Camp Jupiter. "What?" I asked.
Nico grinned. "Well, come on now. Your wedding only happens once in a lifetime."
