I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I had liked Reyna since our shadow traveling times, but I never thought she would actually join me for dinner or anything.
I tried to ask as casual as I could. In truth, Hazel had told me that they were coming. I had been waiting for the right moment. And I had time to tidy up the place.
I had opened some of the blinds, letting in moonlight. It was hard not to make the whole place look absolutely deathly, but that was my personality. I only hoped that that was what she saw it as too.
"Welcome to the Hades cabin." I announced, leading her to the table where I had the pizza boxes. I had already asked Hazel Reyna's favorite pizza: Hawaiian. I wasn't much of a pineapple person myself, but it was for Reyna. I hope she would take notice in that.
Reyna looked around, not at all seeming disturbed by the darkness of the room. I mentally sighed of relief. She glanced to the table and her face brightened. "You like Hawaiian too?" She asked me.
I forced a smile. "Yeah. My favorite." I lied through my teeth.
She sat down in the chair and I handed her a plate and excused myself to go to the bathroom.
The bathroom was far from where Reyna was, so I had no fear in being overheard.
I locked the door and turned on the light, looking at my reflection in the mirror. I grinned and pointed at myself. "Who's the man? You're the man!" I jumped up and down excitedly. "YESSS! I got her to come, I got her to come!" I sang, dancing.
I looked at my reflection and calmed down. "Okay, Nico, listen up. If you want her to stay, then you need to be the person she knows best. Don't go crazy and freak her out. You got this bro! Now go get 'em tiger!"
At the end of my self pep rally, I put on a mask of calmness and flushed the toilet, then rinsed my hands to make the appearance that I had used the bathroom. As my fingertips touched the door, I turned back and looked at the Axe body spray staring at me.
I whipped off the can and sprayed a little, hoping to make myself look better. I almost laughed at myself. I was starting to act like Leo. Not a good thing.
