The party was now in full swing, Anna had managed to rope some fourth year boy into standing outside the common room door, to help with the riddles, and people were pouring in.

She had done an outstanding job decorating. Blue LED lights engulfed the room in a neon blue wave and silver and gold streamers hung from every wall.

Tables were laid out around the edges of the room covered in plastic cups and various drinks, the chairs in the common room had been arranged in little groups so people could sit down with their friends and in the middle were the biggest speakers you had ever seen.

Music boomed from the large stereo system that was hooked up to a turn table and tape deck, vibrating the cups filled with strange liquids that people from all houses were carrying around.

Ravenclaw tower was always perfect for parties, being so far away they were hardly ever heard, although someone had put a silencing charm on the door, because "you could never be too careful" in Eve's words.

Anna and Eve had gotten help from Luna Lovegood, who Eve had a soft spot for after they spent an hour talking about Moon Frogs although she wasn't entirely sure what they were at first, to create a playlist of sorts. Luna had an incredibly large collection of vinyl that she had collected from muggle stores, she had told Eve about her first one that was a gift from her father when she went through a phase where she was incredibly interested in muggle things, and from there the collection had grown.

So with Luna's vinyl and Eve's equally as impressive collection of tapes they had a good collection of songs to last them all night.

Anna had been down to set the party up and had come back up to their dorm room to check on Eve and found her surrounded by a mountain of clothes, having a melt down because she didn't have anything to wear.

They had been up there for an hour.

That top was too tight and the colour of those jeans were not right. That pair of shoes made her look too tall and having her hair like that showed off her face too much.

"Eve if you don't pick something soon the party will be over by the time you actually decide." Anna sat on her bed wearing a cropped mesh blue top with a velvet rose pattern all over and a matching blue bra underneath. She was showing off her legs with a short black flowing skirt that hung loosely on her hips and her neck was decorated in an assortment of gold necklaces.

Her eyes were coated in a thick layer of gold glitter that she had manged to spill on her bed sheets.

"We're gonna be finding glitter for weeks..." Anna said as she carefully plucked a fleck of gold from her skirt. "Tonight better be worth all this mess too."

She looked around at the clothes scattered all over the floor.

"Well maybe if you stopped complaining you could help me pick something and we could go down." Eve huffed.

"What's wrong with this top?" Anna sat up from her bed and held up a white corset with delicate lace decals and a great big bow on the front.

"I don't have anything that goes with it." Eve continued to rifle through her wardrobe.

"What about if you wore it with these jeans?" She showed Eve a pair of light-blue baggy jeans from her drawer.

"They're not mine?" Eve said with a puzzled look.

"I know that, they're mine but I though they'd go."

"Are you sure? What if I spill something on them or-"

"Eve I let you make my coffee for me every morning, I think I can trust you not to to ruin something less important like a pair of jeans." Anna smirked at Eve before holding the jeans and corset up to Eve's body to see how they would look together.

"It's kinda cold for just that on my top-half though."

Anna scanned the room for a jacket, "What about your grey striped shirt over the top?" she picked up the shirt that had been previously tossed to the side and draped it around Eve's shoulder.

"G'won try it all on then."

Eve stepped into the jeans and Anna helped her lace up the corset, Eve sucked in a few deep breaths, and the ribbon was pulled into a big bow.

She slipped on the shirt and looked at herself in the mirror while Anna clasped a necklace around her pale neck. Her hair fell just past her shoulders, her natural curls framing her face and a small smokey line of eyeliner around her eyes that brought out the green in them that George Weasley had been so enamored with.

Anna stepped away and admired her work.

"You look perfect."

"I couldn't have done it without you."

Anna knew her best friend was talking about more than the outfit, after all they had been with each other through thick and thin. They had always had each others back and would continue to do so for as long as possible.

Anna didn't reply, she simply smiled, took her friends arm and walked towards the door.

"Wait I need shoes." Eve quickly grabbed a pair of her trusty trainers and wiggled them onto her feet, tying perfect bows on each foot.

"Wow... you just undid all my hard work in 30 seconds." Anna stared disapprovingly at the shoes with a melodramatic look of disgust on her face.

"What? I like these shoes. They're comfy."

"Beauty is pain my dear." Anna replied imitating the voice of a wise old lady.

"Well I think the corset takes that into account..." The girls shared a laugh and walked out of the dorm room.

They were blasted by loud music almost immediately as they opened the door. Shouts and hollers could be heard among badly sung lyrics while people weaved in and out of the crowd playing a dangerous balancing act with their cups that were full to the brim.

Eve took a shaky breath before turning to look at Anna with a nervous look plastered on her face.

"Don't worry I've got you," Anna squeezed Eve's arm and held her close "Promise you'll try and stay for at least a full minute before finding somewhere to hide with a book." She teased.

Eve sighed dramatically, "I can't make any promises..."

The girls smiled at one another and looked down into the crowed before stepping into the heart of the party.

Eve looked around for her favourite Weasley wondering if he'd even decided to come.

But her concerns melted away as she locked eyes with the tall red-head in the corner by the drinks holding a bottle of Firewhisky in his hand gripping it tightly.

George had been watching her since she stepped out of her dorm, he had been waiting in anticipation for her to turn up, and oh boy was it worth it.

She looked positively ethereal.

Anna nudged Eve in Georges direction and she turned to look back at her. Anna shot her a reassuring look and Eve took a deep breath and stepped towards the boy...
