(You're Gender-neutral in this. I can't say specifically when or where this takes place, but it takes place in some kind of apartment or building you two live in.)

(Note: I am so, so sorry I was not able to write very often. I felt depressed and really nauseous throughout this week, but I'm trying my best to keep up my motivation for the pages on this book. Oh, and another thing: There was no plot given, so I hope this can be good enough.)

Y/N's POV:

I hum a small melody while looking through the window. All the birds chirping makes for the calming ambience, along with the light rain. While focusing on nature outside the window, the sound of papers rustling takes my attention away. I get up and slowly walk to the staircase, only to see Kevin waving at me with a small smile.

-

I wave back, then proceed to walk downstairs to see him. "Welcome back, honey." I kiss his cheek. "So," He glances at me while holding a couple of papers, "What happened now?" He stays quiet before handing out one of the papers to me. I read the paper, only to see it's just another bill. "And what's wrong with this?" I wave the paper with a confused look.

-

"My boss cut my salary, so we're unable to have enough money for these." He replies in a plain but sad tone. I frown a bit, then pat his shoulder. "What if I could get a job?" He turns his head to look at me. "The mall currently opened a couple of jobs, so I could try looking for one while they're open." After a couple of seconds, his eyes somewhat begin to tear up slightly.

-

"Uh, sweethea-" He then hugs me tightly, sobbing silently. I pat his back to reassure him it's ok. After a small while of sobbing, he gives me a warm smile and kisses me on the cheek. "Y-Yeah, sure angel cake." I blush a bit at the nickname, then grab my coat and keys. "I'll let you know if they give me one of the jobs" He smiles and waves, I wave back before leaving.

-

After shutting the door, I sigh, then turn around, looking at the car. "Well..." I walk over to the car, staring at the glass with an uneasy look. "I hope I'm not lying to myself... or him." I slowly unlock the door and get in, still feeling slightly uneasy. I take a few deep breaths, then start driving.

(I'm sorry it's short and crappy, I could not get absolutely any motivation and I felt a tad bit depressed these past couple of days... and, I'm pretty much only good at scary and angsty one-shots... and I pretty much rushed writing this, but I hope this is still good.)
