Third-Person POV:

Every day. Every day seemed the same to Y/N. Every day, they would get some candy, scare people, hang out, etc... Leaving Y/N in a somewhat endless loop, making them mentally tired of it. However, the only thing that kept them patient with it was Skid. He was a strange child and still is even in his teen years, but Y/N loved that most about him. The only thing Y/N hates about him is- "Y/N!!" They quickly flinch at the sudden voice. Y/N turns around to see a pumpkin-masked figure running towards them.

"Oh... What're you doing here?" Y/N's mood changed as they looked at Pump. "I was wondering if you happened to see Skid around." Y/N's eyes glanced at his hand, noticing him holding a letter with a skeleton-shaped sticker. "No, I thought he was with you." Y/N replied, not taking their eyes off the letter. Noticing them not looking at him, Pump looks at the letter as well. "Oh! Uh, this is just something for Skid." Pump smiled at Y/N, making them mumble something under their breath. "What was that?" Y/N flinches as Pump stares at them.

"U-Uh, nothing, anyways, do you mind if I was the one to give Skid that letter." Pump's smile faded as Y/N asked that. Y/N stopped smiling as well. "Is something wrong?" Y/N asked him, his silence confusing them. "Well, I don't know..." He replies, feeling uncertain. "If it's about me losing the letter on the way to find him, I'll make sure that does not happen!" Y/N exclaims, making them have a feeling of hatred for themselves. Pump stared at his H/C friend in silence before nodding and handing them the note. "Just- Be careful with it, alright?"

"Sure. Cya." Pump waves at Y/N and runs off, leaving them alone with silence. Y/N looks at the note in their hand and decides to open it. They open it carefully and take out the note. 'Dear Skid, normally I wouldn't send letters like this, but I feel like I needed to ask you this...' Y/N furrowed their eyebrows in confusion before reading the next part. 'You... Have you noticed Y/N acting strange lately? I know it's rude to talk about people behind their backs, but seriously, they've been acting weird.' As these words filled Y/N's mind, they felt their anger and fear slowly rising.
