Explainations

This story is set in a world where humans live alongside mythical creatures (or at least try to).

I decided to explain a bit. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like.

Humans haven't changed much and are aware of the existence of werewolves (and every other mythical creature), but the supernatural population has increased since their existence came to light.

Werewolves belong to different packs. If they do not have a pack they are considered 'rogues'. Each pack has different pack members that help it function.

Alpha

It is the Alpha's job to take care of their pack members and lead them.

Beta

Is the Alpha's righthand man/women, ect. The Beta is above most pack members in rank, but not above the Alpha.

Head Warrior

The Head Warrior leads attacks and wars. They help plan the expansion of the packs borders if needed.

Warrior

A hardworking pack member that joins attacks or wars. They take orders from the Head Warrior.

Head Hunter

The person that leads hunting groups. They would also hunt alongside them and teach younger hunters.

Hunters

Hunters divide into groups and hunt food for the pack. If food is scarce they would resort to gathering too.

Pack Members

Normal werewolves that live in the pack. They would contribute to helping the pack by becoming hunters or warriors.

Omegas

Omegas are rare and are known to have slightly smaller wolves. The difference between an omega and pack member is slight, an omega also has a fairly sweeter scent.

Omegas help keep the balance in packs and cannot become warriors, join wars or be harmed by any other pack member, including the Alpha and Beta, as it is considered treason.

Mates

The Moon Goddess, had given the werewolves mates, once they are reunited they will feel whole again.

Werewolves find mates by smell and touch. They are meant to love their mates eternally.

Werewolves find their mates after their eighteenth birthday. Their eighteenth birthday also determines whether or not they are fertile.

If a wolf goes into heat on their 18th birthday they can produce pups and are considered fertile. If not they can't produce pups/children.

Heat

A werewolf will only go into heat if they met their mate and haven't completed the mating bond in at least 2-3 weeks.

Slick

A substance produced by male werewolves during their heat.

Other mythical beings the belong to groups (leopard shifters, lion shifters, dragon shifters, elves, etc.) also have ranks (if they belong to a pack, herd or clan), they are more or less the same.

Only shape shifters can go into heat.
