"OLIVER!" My tired voice boomed.

I ran after the small greyish white omega that had just knocked over some of Jake's scrolls.

He gave me a look of pure amusement before hiding behind Autumn, who only chuckled when Oliver pawed at her clothed thigh.

Oliver was my child.

My only child.

I had adopted him when he was a small fragile pup, but now at six years old, Oliver was pretty large for an omega and pretty damn cheeky too.

Even though Brandon and David towered over him in their wolf forms, he bossed them around and never submitted to anyone.

Autumn and Jake thought that it was hilarious a few months ago, but now that Oliver is old enough to join us on our travels, it wasn't as funny anymore.

He would constantly get in trouble and had once come close to tearing up some of Jake's maps, which almost instantly made Oliver his least favorite.

If I do recall Jake's exact words were, 'He's too young to hate!'.

Well, I was getting pretty damn close to hating him.

My dragon hissed and recoiled at the thought.

The second I saw Oliver, my dragon adopted him instantly and made it impossible to let go of the cute little wolf pup.

If I'd of known that he would be this much work then I would have forced myself to let the little creature go.

I found that all those cynical thoughts would melt into mindless gushing whenever Oliver would call me 'dad' or 'Blue', or even just curl up next to me.

"We'll need to leave for the Crystal Moon Pack soon, there are too many dangers here," Autumn muttered, while slicing a medium sized wyvern's head clean off.

Blood squirted everywhere, but Oliver didn't mind, he nudged the decapitated head with interest before falling into a play bow.

After realizing that the already dead creature had no interest in playing with him, he wandered back to one of the makeshift tents with a disappointed huff.

"Maybe we could get Oli a friend?" Brandon offered, while cooing at a disappointed looking Oliver.

Oliver barked, his ears perking up with interest for a second, before flopping onto one of David's blankets.

"Why don't we leave right now?" I asked, David nodded, clearly liking the idea.

Jake and Autumn shook their heads at the same time, while David and I started packing up.

"We can't go right now, it's getting late!"

"It's barely two in the afternoon, Autumn," I murmured, searching for Oliver.

Oliver basically turned into a ninja whenever anything important was happening, like us leaving.

He'd wander off, leaving us searching for hours and then reappear with a stick and a smug look on his fluffy little face.

By the time I had found him (he was hiding behind a few bushes, dangerously close to an adult wyrm), David and Brandon had already packed up what little we had and began shifting so that they could carry it all easily.

I picked up my things and began the long trek to the Crystal Moon Pack.

"I'm so tireeedd." Oliver whined from his spot on David's back. "Go faster!" He demanded, kicking David's sides like you would do to a horse.
