Once again Theo felt the warm atmosphere on his skin. There was fire almost everywhere.
Corey grabbed him a snack before they started walking through the place named Hell. He also made him two holes in his shirt for his wings. He was currently enjoying his sandwich as Corey led him somewhere. Theo didn't know where they were going.
"Could you tell me more about Limbo?" Theo asked the demon taking a big mouthful of food.
"You want to know more about Limbo?" Corey was surprised by Theo's question. Theo would be probably surprised too but he couldn't help himself. He wanted to know more. He wanted to know more about Liam.
He nodded his head as he chewed the last piece of sandwich and swallowed it.
Corey sighed.
"What does Liam do there?" the angel pressed.
"I shouldn't-"
"Please?" Theo added hopefully.
"Okay, I guess it wouldn't hurt for you to know more." Corey replied as they kept walking. "In Limbo, well, there's where the people who died in original sin get. There are monsters and other things that punish them. Liam controls all of them." Theo nodded his head and Corey added. "I think that's enough though. We are trying to keep you pure."
They kept walking, the area where they were wasn't that bad. Yes, there was fire and some skulls in the ground, making Theo tuck himself closer to Corey but other than that, nothing.
The angel froze immediately when they arrived in front of a big gate. He let go of Corey's hand and stopped, staring in fear at the gate.
He shivered as he rethinked his decision. "Nevermind, I wanna go back, I changed my mind-"
Corey exhaled deeply, looking back at Theo. "Don't worry, it's not that bad. Besides I just want you to meet some friends, the kind ones."
"Friends?"
"Just a few though." Corey continued. "I don't want to overwhelm you."
Theo swallowed. "Then why do you want me to meet them?"
"If you know others, they could be potentially allies and protect you from any harm that might come to you during your... eventful stay." he explained and extended his hand again for Theo. Theo reached out shakily and with a sigh, grabbed the demon's hand.
"Can I ask you something?" Theo asked as they started walking again, going beyond the gate.
"Sure, what is it?"
"My sister always tells me that I should try to date someone. But I don't want to, I want to wait for... someone special."
"Oh, I see." Corey replied chuckling. "You know, I was just like you, waiting for the right person."
"And what happened?" Theo asked, feeling relieved that someone actually knew how he was feeling.
"I found that special someone." Corey said with a small smile, making Theo open his mouth in surprise.
"Who's that special someone?" Theo felt himself smiling bright.
"You've met him. Mason." Corey responded, looking all the time ahead.
"The other demon I have meet?"
"Yes."
"Can demons fall in love?" Theo blurted out before he could stop himself. He felt embarrassed of what he asked.
"Of course we can, what kind of question is that?" Corey frowned.
"I don't know, I just thought-" the angel started.
