Chapter 8🌼

     Miya's POV

    The bell rang signalling it was break time already.

    "So kids don't forget to submit your math homework first thing tomorrow morning. Have a nice day" mr Green said as he left the class.

    Lis and I packed our stuffs as we headed for the cafeteria .

    "I have a big audition coming up soon and I'm scared it'll be a total mess" I told her.

     " Well I could come over after school to help you out if you need an audience"  she said as we both laughed.

     As soon as Keth saw us approaching, she ran into the cafeteria leaving me confused. I didn't know what was going on.

    Lis and I continued talking about stuffs then we finally arrived the cafeteria.

    As I was about to step in, a huge bowl of pudding dropped on my head . I heard laughter from every angle of the cafeteria . I saw madi at one angle of the cafe giving me a cry baby face and moved towards me saying " and that's what you get for flirting with what's mine". 
   
     I summoned enough courage to look up ... I saw hundreds of students holding up their phones recording the incident , including madi who I suppose was getting tonnes of followers right now.

    Lis stood a few metres behind me in awe. I felt like the whole ground should open and swallow me up ... I finally burst into tears and ran out of the cafeteria... Lis followed me to the toilet where I was drying my hair between sobs . I looked at my reflection in the mirror with tears in my eyes. 

    " I hate her so much" Lis said by the wall " I despise her Miya "

    " No ... we shouldn't hate people " I replied tearfully

     "Here ... I got you these from the lost and found" she said holding up a shirt

     I still couldn't look away from the mirror. I looked at myself still feeling pathetic.

    " miya don t you think It's high time we told the principal about this "

     " It'll only make things worse " I managed to say " we don't have any soild evidence against her. Please don't... the situation 'll only get worse I said finally .

     She held me up in a hug... and waited outside for me to change.

   The rest of the lessons went great and then the coach  finally came to announce to Asher and the team that the basketball game was held for now as the major player in the opposing team had fractured his leg.

    Disappointment was written all over their faces.

    "Have a great evening students" he finalled as he left the class

    " Can you wait for me for a little ?Lis asked" I have to finish thing up with my group ... gimme a sec"

     At least that way more students 'll be out before I step out. I couldn't imaging the shame .

    "Hey ... again " a voice called up while I waited for Lis

   "Hi "I replied.. it was almost like I whispered it.

   " Well I saw what madi did to you back there in the cafeteria. Some girls are just so mean, I can't believe they did all that to you " the voice while was Ashers' continued.

    " wait how d-did you k-know what h-happened?" I asked almost shivering? I thought you w-were a -at practice t - then ?"

   
    "I watched it" he replied

    "  No.. she didn't " I replied as tears filled my eyes

   " I thought you knew... what did you do about it?"

    "Nothing " I replied feeling ashamed

    " you should start standing up for yourself Miya"

    " Well how would you know" I replied loudly as tears filled my eyes  " you're popular you practically run half of this school... you were never a nerd..."

    " Look miya you're not a nerd... stand up for yourself " he said firmly

    " Well I thought I was supposed to lead with love" I replied with my head laid low

    " leading with love doesn't mean you don't have your own boundaries Miya. Love tells the truth. ... what they did to you was awfully bad"

    " Well I don't know how to do tha..."

    " Miya c'mon " Lis signalled to me that she was done

    " I have to go " I replied before I hurriedly move past him.

     Lis drove me home in her car as my mum was working late today. As soon as I got in I walked straight into my room and started up my laptop as I breathed heavily.

    I immediately went on Instagram and searched for Madison Gonzales... a very beautiful photo of her showed at the top but I ignored it and moved to her recent uploads. The Video of me being publicly embarrassed came up to the screen.

    "No no no no no no...." I muttered under my breath . I controlled tears from coming down as I saw the view increasing to over a million . I went a further to read some comments

Natalie- Eww gross

Wiston- she's crying over spilt puddin' awnn... lolol

Sarah-her shoes are so last 5 years

I couldn't read more as tears rolled down my eyes... I saw a sticky paper that had the words "do unto others" written upon it... I thought for a
Few seconds then I wiped my eyes and prayed

"God"Miya mentioned silently as she cried softly against the rims of her glasses.

"Please God let Madi know what it means like just walking a day in my shoes ... "

  I finally said before I cuddled myself up under my blanket
