Chapter 20🌼

     Miya's POV

     School felt so interesting through out the day as thoughts of Asher asking me out to prom flooded my mind.

   Gringgg!!!

   "Hey Lis wait up" I was already fast walking towards Lisa as she stood still waiting for me.

   Not too long after I got  to her we saw Madi walking towards us.

   "Hey guys. Have any of you seen Jazz and Keth today " she was panting softly at this point.

    "Uhm yeahhh... keth told me they both were going to check out on stores where we can get our prom dresses " Lis was fondling with her hair as she announced this.

    "They didn't even bother to tell us so we could all go" I put on a fake sad expression.

    "C'mon they're not buying it yet though" they both laughed and I joined them. 

   We were already down the hallway. I said goodbye to Madi and Lisa as their cars were packed on the other side of the parking lot .

    Thoughts of  what happened earlier flooded my mind.

   "Hey " I swirled round and saw Asher smiling at me" Uhm do you mind me driving you home?"

    "The thing is I  actually have my own car now soo ..."

   "Oh that's cool" all this while his gaze have been fixated on me

    "Y- yeah" I stuttered again. What was happening to me.

   I waited for him to say something but when I realized that wasn't happening soon, I broke the silence.

   "So... t - talk to y - ou later  then? "

   "Uhh yeah, sure later "

    "Bye then"

    "Bye Angel"

    He was already a few metres away when I realized this. He called me angel :)

    I drove out of the parking lot with excitement rushing through me.

     ******

    "Good night mum"

     "Gnite hunnie"

     I quietly closed the door that led to my room after we prayed in the living room. I laid on my bed and then turned off the light that came from my bedside lamp.

    Assignments checked.
     Outfit for tomorrow checked
     Now it's time to sleep

   This was my regular night routine for every other usual night.

    I laid face-up and gazed at the darkness  above me but I still couldn't sleep

    I have classes tomorrow so please sleepp

     I reminded myself hoping I'd sleep just after that but the after effect became worse.

     I turned the lamp back on and checked the time. It was just 9:15 pm.

     Oh well I could spare a few minutes . I stood up and picked up my phone by my side table and switched it on. I had my data saver on and switched on my data.

    A few messages came in,
One from Madi and 2 from Jazz and Lisa.

     Well that was expected
