(A/N: now that we've met Bailey, I will begin writing her as you. Using words like I, me, mine when righting about her. I hope you enjoy.)

"Bailey get up!"

I opened my eyes, rolling onto my side. It was 6 am and Alaric already wanted me up. Today was my first day and I couldn't help, but be nervous. Already knowing Jeremy and Matt helped me a little. At least I could venture toward someone I knew.
I hopped out of bed and threw on my black leggings, a white shirt, with my army jacket over it, and my Air Force ones. I headed to my bathroom and curled my hair, before doing my makeup. After I finished getting around, I headed downstairs to where Alaric was.

"I have breakfast ready. Do you want orange juice?", Alaric asked.

"No thanks. I'm bot thirsty, but some food will do."

When we finished eating Alaric drove us to the school. We arrived early, so I sat in his classroom. Alaric was officially the High school history teacher. While he organized his stuff, I checked out his classroom. It was pretty spacious. Before to long the bell rang and I headed out to the hallway. Alaric promised that he wouldn't make it a big deal that we were related.
The students fled in like flocks of birds. I headed to my locker, but was stopped by Jeremy.

"B. There you are. I wanted you to meet Elena."

"Hi, I'm Elena, Jeremy's sister. Jeremy and Jenna have talked a lot about you and Alaric.", Elena told us.

"Well, well, well, Mr. Gilbert, you've been talking about me?", I teased.

"Maybe, just a little, but-", Jeremy began, before getting cut off.

"Don't let him fool you. He hasn't shut up.", Elena said, causing us both to laugh.

Elena, Jeremy and I had a quick conversation, just getting to know a little more about each other, before they had to go to their lockers. I already had my books, so I headed to class. I took a seat toward the middle of the desks. Matt walked in and sat by me. I could see Alaric giving me heart eyes. Elena and her friends gathered around me. Seeing everyone sit close to me, made me feel happy. These moments, although little, made me see that it wasn't all dark.

"Hello class, I'm your new teacher, Mr. Saltzman.", Alaric announced.

Alaric taught a bunch of history over the 60s. I tried to listen, but I could really only focus on Matt. He looked as though he had an angels kiss. A couple times while Bailey stared, she would catch Matt glancing back at her. Her cheeks covered in a red tint. Every time they exchanged glances, Bailey couldn't help but blush.

After school, Bailey headed over to the Grill to get some food. When she walked in she noticed Matt working behind the bar. Sitting down at the bar, she nodded at Matt, to get his attention.

"Hey, what can I get you B?"

"Can I get a lemonade and a basket of fries?", I asked.

"Yes, of course. I'll go get those.", Matt said, before going to the back.

(A/N: Sorry about adding Baileys name back in. I don't want to rewrite, but know that from now on it'll be "I")

I sat at the bar for a minute, before being startled by a tap on my shoulder. Before I could turn around a man sat down next to me.

"You must be Bailey Wilson.", the man said.

I turned to look at him. His hair was dark black and his eyes blue like the ocean. He wore a black leather jacket and a wide grin.

"And you are?", I asked with a little sass.

"Damon Salvatore. Like Stefans brother.", Damon said.

"Stefan has a brother?", I asked, shocked.

"Yeah, he never told you? Such a shame. Probably, because I steal all of his girls.", Damon mocked.

"I'm not his girl. So no worries. What do you want?", I asked.

"Cant a guy get a drink without some chick barking up his tree?", Damon said with a smirk.

"Fine, fine, my bad. You go back to having your fun. I need to go anyways.", I said before leaving.

I felt kinda bad walking out the door. I made Matt go get me my order, just to leave. I hated those kinds of people, but Damon made me upset. I couldn't stand being in there, near him.

I walked down the ally to the side of the grill as a shortcut to get to the next street. It was getting late and I didn't have a car, so I didn't want to be out and about alone.

Before I got to far down the ally, I was pushed hard against the wall. The force caused me to hit my head. I touched the back of my skull, taking my hand back, seeing blood on my fingers. I looked up in shock to see Damon in front of me. His hand on my throat causing me to gasp for air.

"Weren't you ever told to stay out of allies at night?", Damon asked.

I managed to croak out, "Please don't hurt me."

"Oh, that's gonna be kinda hard.", Damon said, looking at my hand. The sight blood causing veins to appear under his eyes.

"Wh-what are you?", I said, befitting gasping for a breath of air.

"I'm a vampire.", he said, showing his fangs.

The sight of his fangs caused me to lose consciousness. My head began to spin before it went black. As I woke, I noticed I wasn't in my bed. My thoughts came to me in sections of my night. Damon. He was a vampire. Stefans a vampire?
I couldn't quite grasp all of my thoughts.

I sat up on the bed, searching the room with my eyes. It was a big room with a bathroom to the side. I listened, hearing water flow. I quickly payed back down, pretending to be asleep, as I heard the water shut off.
