A/N: No spoilers or anything in this chapter. I also put extra information in brackets to help clarify some stuff.
(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
I walked towards the ward office to renew my id. I'm supposed to get a 12 digit number. I had my certificate and my old id in my pocket. Hopefully, it won't take too long.
I walked in to see that there were not many people waiting inside. I sat in a seat and pretended to listen to music with my earphones in. (A/N: (Y/n) does not have a phone)
When it was my turn, I walked towards one of the ladies at the desk.
"Hello, ma'am! How can I help you today?" What should I say? "Um, I'm here to renew my ID."
She clicked a few things on her computer and said, "Alright. Do you have your card with you?"
Is this ok? What's gonna happen if my card expired a few years ago? I hesitated as I handed my card to her.
When she looked at it, her eyes widened with surprise. "A-Are you sure this is your card?" She asked. I slowly nodded my head. She stared at me in disbelief and asked, "W-What was the reason that you were not able to renew your card?" I didn't respond.
"I-I'm sorry but you are going to have to speak with the police first. This has never happened to us before. Please wait here until the police arrive." She tried her best to smile at me but I can tell she was scared.
I could've slept in today. As I was waiting, I felt many eyes on me. I looked around to see that it was none of the customers but the employees. The ladies at the desks would glance at me every five minutes as they kept their customer service facade. But the security guards were making it obvious that they were keeping an eye on me.
I'm never coming here ever again.
After 20 minutes of waiting, a man with a long trench coat walked in. He was escorted in by security. The lady I talked to before talked to him. She discreetly pointed at me so that only he could see.
He walked towards me with a gentle smile and said "Hello, my name is Tsukauchi Naomasa. I'm a detective of the police force. If you don't mind, can you follow me to the police station?"
It's not like I had anything to do for the rest of the day and I don't know what they would do if I said no. I nodded my head and followed him.
We walked to the police vehicle and he started driving. If he was a pervert, I'll just break a few of his bones. But it's not like perverts like me either. I snickered at the comment I made to myself which earned a glance from Tsukauchi.
We finally arrived at the police station. Never thought I would be here for something other than the crimes I've committed.
He took me to a room that had no windows but a large mirror (the interrogation room).
Tsukauchi took out a laptop and asked, "What is your name miss?"
"(Y/n) (L/n)" I answered. At least he's getting straight to the point.
"I heard that you had given an Id which had expired a few years ago. Do you think I can take a look at it?"
I gave him the card. I technically don't need it but I do hope that I can get my Id and apply to a school. Even though I don't wanna.
He was typing something on the computer and his eyes widened in surprise. "Do you perhaps have your birth certificate with you?" he asked.
I handed him the piece of paper I had kept folded in my pocket.
Narrator's P.O.V.
Tsuakuchi had continued to ask questions to (Y/n) to confirm her identity orally. "When is your birth date including the year?", "What were your parents' names?", etc.
He slumped back on the chair and sighed heavily.
"I'm not sure if you know this, but in our records, it explains that you are missing."
That's what they put? (Y/n) thought.
She did not respond.
Tsukauchi stood up from his seat and said, "Please wait here for a second." He left the room. (Y/n) sat in silence, hoping for this nightmare to end already.
Tsukauchi was not able to believe it when he saw the girl's name pop up as missing.
Tsukauchi's P.O.V.
I remember working as an intern a few years ago on this case. The officer who was in charge of me wanted me to tag along for this case.
When we arrived at the scene, there was blood everywhere.
The tenants of the apartment had told us that a father and daughter had lived together in the apartment.
That was the first case that I helped investigate that had so much blood.
The officers had assumed that both the father and daughter were killed seeing as how much blood was left on the scene, but when the blood was tested, it was only the father's blood (which was A).
Since there was no evidence of harm being done to the girl, the officers recorded the girl to be kidnapped or missing.
The search for the young girl continued for 6 consecutive months since the death of the father was suspicious but she was not found.
I remember the tenants saying something about the girl being quirkless. Her father was also quirkless and the mother did have a quirk that was able to identify different types of blood, but she showed no signs of having a quirk.
I don't think this is the same girl since the case was from almost 10 years ago.
I decided to call for help to help identify her.
A/N: The part about Naomasa's first case isn't part of the manga at all. That was completely made up. Sorry again for the late update and sorry it's a bit short. Thanks for reading :))
