I opened my eyes and recognised my hospital surroundings almost instantly, Jimin was sleeping in the chair beside me, it didn't look at all comfortable, but I didn't have the heart to wake him.
I slowly sat up, which was easier now that I had had a little more rest, I looked out the window at the twinkling stars at the sky, and then down at the desk where my phone sat, the screen was cracked and damaged. I picked it up and it still turned on, I saw multiple messages from Bora.
Bora: Y/N I got a phone call from the hospital, are you okay?
Bora: text me back right now or I swear I will search every hospital until I find you
Bora: Y/N!!
Bora: okay Jimin called me from your phone, text me when you can
Y/N: hey Bora, I'm okay don't worry!
Bora texted me back immediately, as if she had been staring at her phone and waiting... or something...
Bora: can I call you?! I need to see for myself you are alright!
Y/N: okay but can you try to be quiet? Jimin is sleeping ;)
As soon as I had sent the message my phone began to buzz, I pressed to answer and Bora's face filled my screen, her blue eyes staring, as though if she blinked I would disappear. "You're okay?" She whispered, I nodded and smiled at her. "Good because you scared the life out of me!" She shouted and I turned down the volume immediately and glared at her, seeing Jimin stir in the corner of my eye. "Sorry" she mumbled, "I'm just really glad you're not dead."
"Oh I can't die Bora, I'm invincible, like a superhero" I smirked, "pretty sure superheroes don't need casts" she sulked, I inched my arm away from view, I thought I heard a little snigger of laughter, but I ignored it.
"So how long do you have to wear that cast? It won't be good for your dance career"
"I'm not actually sure" I gasped, I hadn't thought about what this would mean for my career, "I'll make sure to ask as soon as I can."
We talked for another half hour, I could tell Jimin was awake now, so I said farewell to Bora and put my phone down. "How long have you been up for?" I asked, as Jimin stretched out his legs, "a while, I didn't want to disturb you though" he reached forward and grabbed my hand, "don't worry about dance, just focus on getting better, I always want you to be on stage with me and nothing can stop you, once you heal."
A nurse walked in and asked me a bunch of questions, I wasn't sure how to answer them all but I tried my best, "the police will be along shortly to ask you a few questions as well, after that you are free to leave" she said, once she finished writing things down on a clipboard. "Oh um-" I began, as she began to leave, "how long will I need this cast for?"
"We will make an appointment with you in six to eight weeks to get it removed, until then you shouldn't partake in strenuous physical activity" She smiled sadly, as though understanding why I asked, and then glided out of the door. I looked at Jimin and sighed, he placed his hands on either side of my face and rested his forehead on mine, "Only a few weeks, on the plus side, that means you have more free time" slowly, as if he was unsure about it, he pressed his lips to mine, and I knew nothing could separate us again.
