Jae opened his eyes. He was lying on his right side with his right arm spread eagled on the bed, his left hand hidden curled inside the blanket. The room was dark with a small illumination from a night lamp enough to see some details of the room. He looked at the fingers of his right hand and there he saw scars and calluses that he got from playing his guitar. Some of the scars were still days old. He tried to move his fingers as if he was reaching for something invisible. Then, without warning, a tear fell from the corner of his eye to his pillow. And it started to sink in. He’s going to erase Korea like it didn’t happen. Day One. Wonpil.
He misses him already.
Keshi, as a nurse before he became a musician, took care of Jae pretty well that he almost didn’t have a hint of the drunken mess last night. Jae just felt a little light headed but other than that, he’s pretty okay, at least physically.
Jae moved a little as he clutched his chest trying to ease the heavy emotions. Keshi, who was having a cup of coffee on Jae's mini table noticed his movement.
"He saw me last night." Keshi spoke with complete silence in the background. He was pertaining to Wonpil.
"Good." Jae asked with a hoarse voice and a pained sarcastic chuckle.
"I think he recognized me." Keshi added.
"Better." Jae replied monotonously.
"Do you think he'll move on from you just because he saw you with your ex?" Keshi asked before sipping his coffee.
"No. But it will make him mad. He will loath me for making him think that he's that special. He will get angry at me and will realize that I'm not that great of a person, that he just wasted his time, that I don't deserve his tears and love. He will get angry at me and realize I am not important and move on." Jae said as another tear fell down from his eyes. He scoffed.
"You love him so much, huh. He looked irritated last night though." Keshi remarked as he recalled their break up. Jae chose his dream over him. But now, he's giving up everything for that guy. What's special with him? He can't even fight for Jae.
Jae let out a deep sigh and composed himself. He reached for his phone and checked for the time. It's two in the afternoon. He doesn't really feel like moving but no one's gonna pack his things for him. Although Keshi volunteered, he doesn't really want to let him be part of his world again. He just needed a little help to make it easier for Wonpil and that's it.
Jae was reminded about his ordeal last night and decided to take a bath first before doing anything. He stinks vomit.
After taking a bath, he continued packing his luggage while Keshi was preparing food in his kitchen.
A few minutes later, around three in the afternoon, his door rang. Jae pressed the monitor to see who's outside.
It's Brian. He must have seen the note already. He thought to himself.
Jae watched as Brian grew impatient outside. He's now knocking the door rather loudly and pressing the doorbell at the same time. He was also shouting something which made Jae turn on the mic.
"Yah! Park Jaehyung! I made a fuss to come outside just for this so you better come here and talk to me! I know you're inside!" Brian shouted, paying no regard to Jae's neighbors.
"I can shout here all day and wake all your neighbors up. Don't try me." Brian threatened.
Left with no choice, Jae went out to stop Brian.
As soon as he opened the door, he saw Brian who looked rather composed and...professional? The aura was like that of a businessman.
"I have a proposal. Coffee?" Brian said in a tone like he's selling a product or something.
