A chime broke the silence of Jae's neighborhood. A click resonated before the door opened. He's holding Wonpil's hand as they enter his apartment. The lights automatically turned on and Wonpil cannot help but get anxious over the sight of two luggages parked in the corner of the room. Come to think of it, Jae didn't mention that he'd stay.
Wonpil came back from his overthinking when he felt Jae stopped from his tracks. He moved closer to him to look. He was reading a note left on top of the table. A few moments Jae looked at him.
"Keshi went back to LA already." Jae said.
Wonpil couldn't help but stare at the luggages which really brought him great discomfort.
"Jae, you're staying, right?" Wonpil asked in a small voice, looking down avoiding Jae's eyes. He just has to ask him again to calm his heart.
Jae took Wonpil's other hand and slowly pulled Wonpil closer to him. He then made Wonpil look to him as he lifted his chin. He looked deeply into his eyes.
"I'm staying, Pil. I'm not gonna go anywhere without you." Jae said. His eyes then shifted his gaze to Wonpil's lips. He slowly caressed Wonpil's cheeks before he closed the distance between them, slowly pulling his face to him. Jae's lips touched Wonpil's. It was deep but slow. They were savoring it for the moments that they wanted to but for so many stupid reasons cannot. They tried to remember the feeling of being this close, of being this vulnerable in each other's presence. And it felt beautiful. It felt so right.
Jae ended it with a light peck as he opened his eyes. Both of them panting. He looked at Wonpil with so much love and yearning, stroking his cheeks with his thumb.
"I love you." Wonpil blurted and it melted Jae away.
"I love you too, Pil. Oh my god, you don't even know how… how… much. I can't properly express it but I feel like my chest is going to burst right now because you're here with me." Jae expressed as tears started to form.
Wonpil hugged him tightly burying his head in Jae's chest.
"Me too." He let out in a muffled voice.

After eating dinner that they ordered, Jae and Wonpil settled on Jae's bed. Wonpil's head is lying on Jae's right arm, while his arms wrapped around him. Jae's free hand took the liberty of caressing Wonpil's cheek and stroking Wonpil's hair. They stayed silent for quite some time and just drowned with the sensation, the little noises, the soft touches, even the sound of their breathing.
"Hyung?" Wonpil finally broke the silence. His eyes closed.
"Hmm?" Jae replied, still drawing small circles on Wonpil's cheeks.
"Thank you." Wonpil said.
"For what?" Jae asked.
"For loving me. For still loving me despite what I did. For understanding." Wonpil said as he tightened his hug on Jae.
"Pil, the amount of happiness you give me is enormous. I honestly don't know how to pay for it." Jae said with a smile.
"You don't have to. I'm happy right now, with you, like this." Wonpil replied before he repositioned his head to look at Jae's face. The older opened his eyes and looked at the younger one as well.
"No more lies, okay? If you're hurt, or angry, or happy, or sad, you need to tell me, okay? Don't make the possibility of hurting me as an excuse for hiding them because not knowing the battles you're fighting hurts me more. I'm going to do the same too. Are we clear on that?" Wonpil asked.
"I promise." Jae replied and planted a kiss on Wonpil's hair.
"I saw Keshi." Wonpil blurted out if nowhere.
