Really not supposed to

"Clara! Two more boxes," Amber said as I finished what I though was the last one. I sighed for myself as I dropped the empty box on the floor. For the past few hours, Amber and I, with a little help from Luke, had unpacked eight boxes of new records for the store. My back was killing me as I began walking towards the back of the store. I walked pass Luke, who was on his phone while eating a sandwich.

"We've gotta get two more, Luke," I said while not getting any attention from him. I rolled my eyes a little, figuring he was texting his boyfriend Jack. I entered the storage room where Amber was.

"Those two," she said and pointed at the brown boxes. I nodded as she gave me a quick smile. "Thanks for filling in for me tonight honey," she said while she gave me a hug. I inhaled the scent of her, instantly feeling comfortable. Amber, Luke and I had been best friends for as long as I can remember. We'd grew up together and we had always had a dream about opening our own record store. Now that we're here, we'd spent as much time as possible here, goofing around while working.

"No problem at all," I said as we pulled away from each other. "Have fun with Sebastian tonight". She nodded and gave me a smile.

"I'm so fucking nervous," she said as she grabbed her coat and sunglasses. "I've never met his parents before". I placed a hand on her shoulder as a sign of support.

"They'll love ya, hun," I said with a smile on my face. "Now get out of here before you'll get late". She giggled a little and kissed me on the cheek before I grabbed the box and walked after her, out to the store.

"Bye darling!" she exclaimed to Luke as he waved her goodbye.

"Make sure to get laid!" he shouted after her, making both of us laugh.

Luke and I spent one hour unpacking one of the boxes until it was thirty minutes before closing. Luke came out from behind the desk, reaching out a cup of coffee to me.

"You're a lifesaver," I said as I gave him a thankful smile and grabbed the cup.

"I know right?" he said sarcastically as we heard his phone ringing. He grabbed it and accepted the call.

"Hi babe," he said as he started walking around the store, making me unpack the rest of the records by myself, still with the last box on my mind. I didn't really hear what Luke and Jack were talking about since the store's record player was on. It wasn't my day to choose the music since Green Day was playing, probably Luke's. He came back after a few seconds, still with Jack on the phone. He gave me a look that told me he needed to go.

"Go get him, tiger," I said while a smile crept on my face. "I'll take the last one". He smiled in relief as he bent down to kiss me on the cheek.

"Thank you darling," he said as he grabbed his jacket and bag. "I love you!"

I giggled, "love you too!"

When twenty minutes had passed, I was finally done with unpacking the records. I could almost not stand up as my back was hurting so much.

"Fuck," I cursed to myself as I walked out of the store to throw the empty boxes in the trash cans. As I walked back, I saw two men, around my age, standing outside of the store, looking in. I walked up to them, one wearing a jeans jacket with curly hair to his shoulders and the other one with a leather jacket and sunglasses. His hair was dark and undone.

"Can I help you?" I said as they noticed me. The one with long hair smiled and shoved his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

"Uhm..do ya work here?" he said with a strong British accent. I nodded and gave him a smile back. "Is there any chance I could buy that record over there by The Strokes?" he asked as I opened the door. I looked at the watch on the wall, telling me we'd closed ten minutes ago.
