"Oh sweetheart," Miles mumbled as he embraced me in his arms. I rested my head on his shoulder as we stood in his doorway. He stroke my hair with his hand as I let the tears fall down my cheeks, making his shirt wet.
"I'm so sorry, love".
I sobbed as we slowly pulled away to face each other. Our eyes met and I saw how his began to water as well. He pulled in for another hug and I inhaled his scent.
"I still love him," I said, making him hug me tighter. With my arms around his torso, I felt how his breathing slowed down.
"I know, love," he said gently. "I know".
As we walked inside, Miles ordered pizza before he made his bed for me to sleep in for the night.
"I don't want you to be alone tonight," Miles said when I asked if I was a bother.
He was truly amazing. As I walked out from my apartment, Miles's was the first place I got in mind.
"Have ya called Al yet, love?" Miles said as he sliced up the pizza, forcing me to eat some. I shook my head as I rested my head on his shoulder where we sat in his sofa.
"I don't know what to say," I answered as we kept our eyes on the television, watching some lame show. Miles looked down at me as.
"It's aight, don't stress about it, okay?" Miles said as he gave me a comforting smile. I nodded and leaned back towards the back rest.
As I quietly cried myself to sleep that night, I could hear Miles on the phone with Alex.
"Something happened," Miles sighed as he put on the speaker.
"What?! Is she okay?" Alex exclaimed, being on the speaker.
Miles sighed, "Dunno man, she's destroyed".
"I'll swear to god when I find that prick I-," Alex said in anger as Miles tried to calm him down.
"She just needs yeh now, Al," Miles continued. "When will ya be here again?".
"I'm on me way," Alex said before he hung up and I fell fast asleep.
I woke up a few hours later by someone sitting beside me as I remained laying down on the bed. I slowly opened my red eyes and felt how tears were dried onto my skin. I look up and saw two brown eyes, meeting mine. I felt how my eyes started watering as he placed a hand on my cheek while he pulled himself closer to me, hugging me tight. I tossed my arms around his neck as his arms were around my waist. I let sobbed into his neck as I let all my emotions out. He was here.
"A-Alex..," I sobbed into his neck as our bodies deleted all the space between us.
"Shh," Alex whispered calmly. "I know, love,". My heart couldn't help but melt. He was truly the sweetest human I've ever laid eyes on.
Alex stayed with me the whole night, just being there with me. His nearness made my life so much easier and I felt so comfortable with him. We talked about what happened and he just listened and comforted me. As I fell back to sleep, Alex took his leather jacket off before he hold me tight, making sure I was okay before he went off too.
As the the rain poured down outside, I thanks Miles personally for being there for me and letting me stay the night. He hugged me tight and told me to come over whenever I wanted to. As Alex and I got into his car, we just sat there for a few minutes. No one said anything. We just looked out from the front window, watching the rain hit the ground. As he started the car, my eyes fell on him.
"Al," I said as his eyes met mine. He raised his eyebrows and waited for me to continue. I cleared my throat before I spoke again.
"I wanna follow you to the airport". Alex still looked into my eyes, shaking his head.
"I'm not going anywhere," he said, grabbing my hand and squeezed it tight. I looked at him helplessly as I sighed a little.
"Alex, you have a show in Oregon tomorrow," I said as I gave his hand a light squeeze, making sure I was okay. "I'm not gonna let you miss that". Alex shook his head and placed his other hand on my cheek, giving me a warm smile.
"I want to make sure yer okay," he gently said. "I wanna take care of ya, darling". I felt how my eyes started watering and I smiled a little to him.
"I'll be fine, Alex," I confirmed to him with a warm smile. "Besides, Miles's here too". Alex didn't say anything so I placed my hand on his cheek. Our eyes looked deep into each other's as a tear fell down his cheek, making my heart break.
"It's okay, Al," I said before he kissed my hand gently, making my whole body warm.
As we arrived to the airport, everything felt wrong. Even though I told Alex to go back on tour, the last thing I wanted was to say goodbye to him. He held my hand as we walked towards the gate. When we reached the end where he was supposed to enter the plane, her turned around and wrapped his arms around my waist. I tossed mine around his neck, never wanting to let go. A single tear fell down my cheek as I inhaled the scent of him one last time for a while.
"I don't want to let go," I mumbled under my breath, but I think he heard me. We slowly pulled away and I wiped the tears off his cheek. He gave me one last kiss on my own before he whispered in my ear:
"Wait for me"
He then pulled away and kissed my hand before he walked away from me, leaving me in confusion.
