~Zack's pov~

After making my decision of actually seeing this through, Cinder suggested on showing me his world first. I gave in, agreeing to that. Before I knew it I was no longer in bed and we both were standing outside, in front of huge iron gates that were attached to tall brick walls.

I'm guessing he is going to give me the grand tour. At the gates stood two guards, wearing heavy armor with sheathed swords on their backs.

"How many places have you seen that still look like this? All the ones in your human world have been destroyed by Mother Nature." Cinder begins, moving up closer to the gates while I follow along closely.

As we reach the gates, I notice the guards looking me up and down, their eyes darken giving me an unsettling feeling. I move closer to Cinder, ignoring their lustful looks. Did Cinder notice? Are all the males here like this?

"I hope you will like this place." He says with so much hope in his words, I scoff at his words. It'll take much more than just showing off your cute castle to get me to join you in this fantasy world.

I smile slightly while looking at the scenery. "It's a really nice landscape." Even though I'm not a happy camper, I'll still play along. Cinder is my one ticket out of here.

Cinder waved his hand at the guards, the gates creaking open by themselves. Okay now that's spooky. We then moved forward, stepping onto a stone pathway.

Honestly the scenery wasn't so bad, a long stone pathway that split into two so that in the middle resides a large water fountain then the pathway connects back into one. On the sides were dull bushes but no flowers? Typically there would be roses, but I guess no one really tends to the garden much.

We finally reach a set of steps and stop at a grand oak door, Cinder pushes it open. The main entrance huh? Not bad, the outside looks worn out yet the inside seems to be newly furnished from the chandelier and down to the floor. It was impressive but I'm still not falling for it with such a beautiful decor.

What I wasn't expecting was two staircases that start out separate and connect at the top, it made the main room look even bigger and had a rich feeling to it. Okay okay, I might start liking this. Even with my excitement of exploring more, I continue to stay close to Cinder, it is a new place for me after all. I can't be rude and go off on my own.

Once we reach the top of the stairs we enter a long and wide hallway in the middle, I did notice there were two other hallways on the left and right sides, but Cinder went down the middle, "The only ones who live here are me, my brothers, and the servants." He says as we walk down the hall.

"Look Stephan, our young brother brought a new toy." A deep creepy voice says from behind us. Cinder takes a deep breath and turns around and I do the same, but try hiding behind Cinder.

There, in front of us, stood two look alike males. They both had bright red eyes, pale skin, deep blonde colored hair, they look about to be the same height and weight. Purely identical.

"Stay away from him." Cinder told them. They only chuckled and eyed me up and down. Great, another set of vampires.

"But brother, he looks very pure and his blood has a unique smell. Maybe you could let us test him out." The twin on the right says.

"I don't care Stephan!" Cinder says loudly, clearly getting agitated by those two.

"Let's go Stephan, let's leave our brother and his boy toy alone." The other twin, who's name I still don't know, says.

"Fine, lets go find ourselves a meal. " Stephan says and they both walk away.

Wow, I was for sure we would have to fight them or something. Didn't think they would leave so easily.

"God, I hate 'em ." Cinder says angrily, I step out from behind him, awkwardly patting his back.

"Those are the brothers then?" I receive a nod from Cinder, "They called you young brother, that means they are the eldest?" Another nod.

"If they are the eldest, why are they not taking the throne?" I can't believe I am actually concerned, it's common in history tales that the eldest child takes the throne. So I'm just curious to know why Cinder is next in line.

Cinder chuckles, but not in a mocking way, at least I hope not. "They rather have fun than run a whole kingdom. And they haven't found their beloved yet, so the promise of an heir from them isn't good."

"I see- wait, an heir? Does that mean you will expect that from me?" I take a step back, now I know for sure this is a dream.

"Hey hey, that's for some other time. No need to worry about it." Cinder reaches for my shoulders, holding me still.

God am I really considering being this vampires beloved? I must be stupid for even following along. Curse my willingness. Yet I'm not gonna let him know that I'm close to just letting it happen, I want to see how well he tries to woo me into accepting this.

After a long, exhausting, walk we stop in front of another pair of huge doors. He pushes them open and inside there's a huge bed, the sheets are a nice color of red, the walls are peach, and there's a huge chandelier over the bed. I'm sure that can't be safe, right?

"Hey isn't this the room I was in before we started that house tour?" The bedsheets we're still messy from where I had slept on them, almost wanting to get back in that bed and sleep this day away.

"It is." Cinder now stands in front of me, taking my hands in his, "Zack, what do you think of this place now?"

I think about my answer, trying to avoid eye contact with him. "Well, the place is nice. Seems quite real. I know you want me to stay with you, being your beloved or whatever. But you and I both know I can't give an answer right away. I can take in information easily, but this- oh boy, I have to sleep and let it process. So it's a...I need to think about it situation." I squeeze his hands, hoping he understands.

"And I know I said I would go along with this, but it really is too much for me right now. Please understand." I keep on pleading, really hoping. Just seeing that this was an actual place had my mind fizzing out.

Stupid stupid. Somehow I am already caving into wanting to know more about this place, my human life is shit right now. Not something worth going back to but I really do want to think about it.

"No no, it's okay." Cinder gives me a bright smile, he lets go of my hands and reaches into his pocket, pulling out a purple marble. "When you are ready, just drop this into a glass of water and I'll be there to bring you back here."

I don't understand how a little marble will contact him, but I guess I shouldn't find it hard to believe anything now since I know vampires exist and have their own fucking world. I accept the marble, and with one final smile I'm back in my bedroom.

"I'm definitely going crazy..."
