Broken Beyond Repair

Her pieces scattered across the ocean
The flag ashore is hung half-mast
The doctors tell them that there's nothing they can do
Nothing to bury
No one to mourn
Though the trial was scary
There's millions more being born

Insignificant
An ant crawling by
So much more in the world
But only one thing's on its mind
Only to be crushed mid-life
Yet so much more survive

"Broken beyond repair"
"Sunken with the crew"
Sentences drawn mid-air
But forgotten while still in view
Because we focus on living
Only to die
But when another passes on
We simply wave goodbye
