I was confused.
Wilbur and I sat at the long wooden table in the camaravan, studying a brand new potion book.
"I just don't understand, how does some dust increase the length of the potion?"
Wilbur sighed, leaning back into his chair, rubbing his temples.
"God, if Tommy would just stop throwing a tantrum then he could be doing this, and it would've been done 40 minutes ago!" He said angrily.
"Will, he has every right to be mad, you can't blame him. The stuff he's been through and he's only, what? 16?" I replied closing the book.
Me and Wilbur had been trying to make strength potions for battle, but whenever we made them they only lasted 2 minutes. We had to go to a man named Karls library to rent a book on how to do it, and the overall process had consumed most of our day.
Wilbur raised his head out of his hands, observing the scattered ingredients across the table. "Maybe we should just-"
"Wilbur! Help! My house!" The door slammed open and Tubbo ran in abruptly, ashes smeared across his face. He was sweating and breathing heavily, presumably from the run here.
"What happened!?" I questioned, shooting up from my chair. But before I got an answer Tubbo ran out of the van, sprinting towards the opening in the wall.
I quickly looked at Wilbur as he quickly made his way around the wooden table. I followed in pursuit, crashing down the steps. We ran across the fields of L'manberg, towards the giant doors. I didn't understand what Tubbo was making all this fuss about, one of his bees probably escaped.
We swiftly turned the corner out the exit and then, I saw it.
Down the Prime Path, where Tubbos house used to be, stood a great tall fire. Bright orange flames danced across the blue sky, twisting and turning in the wind. Ashes rained down, remanent of the home that once stood. I stopped my run, shocked at the size of the mighty flame, but I started running again at the sight of Tubbo running straight towards it.
"I need to get my bees!" Tubbo screamed. He didn't slow his pace as he ran through his gates, his arms pumping as he crossed his lawn.
"Tubbo no!" Wilbur cried, as I slammed past him, making a desperate attempt to stop the boy.
Tubbo didn't slow down, there was no way I could catch him.
"Tubbo please stop!" I yelled, one last final attempt to keep the boy out of harms way. Tears blurred my vision. Tubbo always put others first, he always did what was best for others, but not for himself. Wilbur let out a scream as Tubbo was about to step into his home.
A sudden flash of green and blue blocked my vision, and a loud grunt of pain rang through the air.
I looked up and Tubbo and another man where rolling on the grass, limbs tangled in each others.
A wave of relief flooded my body as I wiped the tears off my face.
"Tubbo what is wrong with you!" I cried, running over to the boys in the grass. I engulfed Tubbo in a hug, the smell of ashes intoxicating my nose.
"Why were you even going to run in there man?" A deep voice rang out.
I snapped my head in the mans direction, he had saved Tubbo.
"My bees, they're in there." Tubbo whimpered.
"Tubbo your life is worth more than all of those bees combined!" I said, releasing my strong grip around him. I turned my attention back to the man and stood up, brushing myself off.
"Ah! You must be Gabby, right?" The man said, adjusting the pair of sunglasses on his face.
The man was tall, and had fluffy brown hair. A kind expression was strung across his face, even though the glasses covered his eyes. He had a deep voice, the kind that entices everyone in the room.
"Hello! And your name is?" I smiled extending my hand.
"Eret," The man grinned down at me, linking my had with his. "My name is Eret."
Tommy was shouting, pacing back and forth.
"What are we gonna do Will!" He shouted, running his fingers through his already messed up hair. "We're no match for them!"
After calming Tubbo down, we had made our way back to the Camaravan, only to see the door busted open. Inside we were met with a shocking scene, dirty footprints lined the floors, the chairs scattered across the room, our potion supplies carelessly knocked off the table. But none of that is what scared us the most.
In the middle of the table laid a shiny book, labeled "Our declaration."
"To Lmanberg.
We are at war. There is no mercy.
We have burnt down Tubbo's house, planted TNT cannons around your land and we have cobblestone walled the outside.
We have no mercy for you.
We will come.
We will burn down your houses.
We will kill everything inside your walls,
and we will take back the land that is rightfully ours.
I want to see white flags around your base, by tomorrow at dawn,
or you are dead."
Dream had officially declared war on L'manberg.
After receiving the news, L'manbergs soldiers had gone to plan their next move.
I knew they wouldn't surrender, Wilbur was too stubborn for that.
The meeting had commenced, and I was waiting outside, sprawled across the grass under a tall oak tree. It had taken 3 hours for the citizens to reach their decision, and I wasn't surprised with the outcome. Wilbur was going to try and talk Dream out of it, and was hoping to commission a trade of some sort.
Everyone had already gone to bed, They needed rest for the exhilarating day tomorrow.
I laid back in my bed, my thoughts racing through my mind.
Did I really want to fight in this war for a country I don't even live in? Let alone like?
This wasn't child's play anymore. They had threatened our lives.
I didn't want to fight for this country, founded off of revenge.
Hate founded this country, the whole reason was to make a fool out of Dream and his kingdom.
But then I realized.
I craved revenge.
I wanted revenge on Dream. For all the stuff he put me and my family through. Killing Tubbo's bees, burning down his home. Stealing Tommys discs, his only possession from his past. And most of all, the terror he caused for Phil, resulting in him sending me away. My brain travelled to another world. One were Dream never existed,
I craved more.
