TW// BLOOD, ABUSE, ALCOHOL
"Watch out!" a voice cried from behind me.
I quickly tried to jump up and get out of the way but it was too late. A huge splash of water engulfed me, drenching my t-shirt. I stood up quickly and looked forward into the pond.
"Tommy!" I growled.
A blonde head came out of the water. Tommy was a young child, about 13. He had wavy blonde hair, and sported a pair of red swim trunks.
"What is your problem! Couldn't you have just waited for me to move?"
"No! Of course I couldn't! Tommy Innit waits for no woman!" The boy exclaimed.
I felt a hand rest on my back.
"Sorry Gabby, it's all my fault. Really. I was chasing him."
I turned around. A smaller boy was standing behind me. He was wearing pale blue swim trunks adorned with little bees sewn into the fabric. I had sewn them on for his 12 birthday last year, and honestly, I think I did a terrible job, but Tubbo loved them.
"Its okay Tubbo, it's not your fault." I calmly replied.
Tubbo sighed, relived, then set his towel on the side of the dock.
"Care to join us Gabby? We are going to investigate the bottom of the pond for buried treasure!" Tubbo exclaimed while lowering himself off the dock.
I giggled to myself, "Im okay Tubbo, Im gonna go get changed."
We said our goodbyes, then I picked up my diamond sword I had almost left. I strapped my sword to my belt watching Tommy as he tried to pull himself back onto the dock.
"No! Tommy the towel!" Tubbo yelled, followed by the sound of a splash.
I laughed to myself, I quickly turned on my heels. I had to leave before they asked me to get them a new one.
I quietly walked on the path in the woods. It had only been a year since that terrible night. After that I couldn't stand to see Schatt's face anymore. After we got to the village he turned into a drunken nightmare, the abuse got even worse. Ive thought about the boy every night for the past year, his blood stained face haunting my nightmares.
Until one night he just, left. The only thing left behind was a empty liquor bottle and the phone number to the village orphanage.
I was taken in by Philza. Phil was a tall man, he had shaggy blonde hair, covered with a green and white striped hat. He was kind, carefree and wise. I felt safe with Phil. Me and all the other kids at the orphanage where his first priority. He had great white wings, usually tucked behind his back.
I wish I had wings like Phil, to be able to take them out and soar above the trees, above the worries. Not a care in the world, just when I plan on landing next. The wind whipping the hair behind my head. The way your stomach would drop when you soar down, just to be fine when you glide to a stop.
As I reached the beginning of the prime path, I crossed the usual sign "You are now entering DREAM SMP". I stopped and stared at the sign. I hated the name of our kingdom. What an egotistical bastard. Who names a kingdom after themselves?
I kicked the sign and smiled. As it fell backwards into the mud I continued my venture home.
I ran quickly through the alleyways of the town.
"GET BACK HERE!!" Ponk roared.
I laughed as I whipped around the corner, Ponk's bag of ender pearls in hand. Ponk was easy to steal from, he got bored easily and would usually spend time chatting with Sam on the phone or watching programs on the TV in his shop.
