Chapter 3

Camila's POV

I wake up in my bed, with the bright sun shining right in my eyes through the blinds.

"Wake yo ass up!" Dinah shouts and scares the shit out of me because I didn't know she was there.

I lift up my head from my pillow to look at her.

"Ugghhh... shut the blinds!" I groan and bury my head back down.

She doesn't close them, instead she opens the curtains up fully and rolls up the binds completely.

"Mila, I'm serious, get up." Dinah snaps and I know she's not joking.

I roll over and sit up straight, resting my back against the head board.

"What is it Dinah?" I snap back just as seriously because I'm tired and annoyed that she woke me.

"What happened?" Dinah sits on the end of the bed by my feet and looks at me with concern.

"What do you mean?" I question.

"Last night. Do you remember anything?"

Then it hits me. Memories from last night. The party. The alcohol.

Lauren.

"N-No." I lie. "What happened?"

"I'm not for sure. I found you in a bedroom by yourself passed out. I took you home and put you in bed, I was gonna leave but you didn't want me to, you said you didn't want to be alone. Are you alright? Did someone hurt you?" Dinah looks seriously worried.

"Oh yeah! I'm fine. I just hooked up with some guy that's all." I say and she buys it. Her face immediately lightens up.

"Who?" Dinah asks excited.

"Some guy from my school, you wouldn't know him." I shrug.

"Damn. I wish I went to your school. You have a lot of hot guys." Dinah smirks.

"Yeah, and you could protect me from Lauren." I mumble but Dinah heard me.

"True. But she didn't bother last night right?" She states more than asks.

I just nod and she smiles getting up from my bed and walking to the door.

"Well I gotta go." Dinah says and is about the leave but I stop her.

"Hey Dinah?"

"Yeah Mila?"

"Thanks for staying with me last night. I'm glad you didn't leave." Like Lauren, I finish in my head.

"It's the least I could do, you actually came to the party with me, just promise that won't be the last?" Dinah asks.

"Sure." I laugh and Dinah smiles before leaving me alone in my room to think.

This whole confusion was a mess. And these monsters of thoughts are gonna eat me alive.
