Character Interactions and Personal Rankings

Hey there, for the last chapter of this book I want to do a ranking list, both for the characters and who I'd most want them to interact with. So without further ado

16 - Kate Wilson

Kate is definitely a character I wrote to be even one you like or dislike, unfortunately she just wasn't one I liked as much as the others. But hey for those that did like her she gets quite far

15 - Alex Bias

Clear bias for early deaths aside, Alex was always made to be a killer who doesn't have a good justification making him a bad person. I still enjoyed his leadership role, but yeah he's a victim of being the first killer

14 - Jared Kneel-Williams

Again it comes down to the fact he died early on, I still enjoyed writing his free time events but if he wasn't the first to die, then these cases would be way too easy since having a genius on your side kinda helps

13 - Leary Atkinson

Honestly I enjoyed writing her but it just came down to, if there was one character who's death I would put earlier it would definitely be her, nothing against her but I feel there were others that needed the development

12 - Vicky Bawn

Speak of the devil, Vicky needed more development, in fact she's easily on a list of characters I'd swap with a survivor her case being Vesta since both could work. But yeah a lack of depth puts her here

11 - Carly Ward

So I'll be honest right now, ultimate lucky student has always been my least favourite talent from the canon series even more then those that make no sense, but I was quite happy with what I did with Carly. But it's the plainness that ruins it

10 - Darian Cooper

His death is one I'll always feel bad for putting in, honestly if chapter 4 wasn't the chapter I wanted a double kill in I'd absolutely put him in the surviving cast. But yeah I think he had one of the better arcs before dying at least

9 - Tamika Atkinson

She's an interesting character for me, I'm sure many predicted she secretly cared about her sister but I did like the despair of her killing her own sister, the third trial was when I really felt the quality of the fanfic rise and her rivalry with Mia helps it

8 - Vesta Larafi

As I said I could've definitely swapped her and Vicky around but I still really enjoyed her, I'm quite happy I got Vesta to survive and her interactions are what made her so enjoyable

7 - Amber Digimarda

Like the ultimate lucky student I'm not the biggest fan of the '???' trope but I knew I needed her for the logic and emotion theme. Besides I really enjoyed her contrast at the first trial to the fifth trial. I definitely think she earned her spot

6 - Lewis Cope

I still feel bad for killing him but hey, can't have a killing game without a character to motivate the others, and Lewis is the one who had to do it, I'm still glad he helped make character development for some of the others

5 - Bryan Davies

By main characters, he's not bad. It's definitely hard to write a main character when you need to write interesting personalities for the other 15 members but I like how his confidence grows in each trial

4 - Adam Edmanson

Yeah he's the best killer in my opinion, I really like how cold he is to everyone, and his motives are quite an interesting study on justification or not. Plus his breakdown is a great one

3 - Mia Moss

She speaks for herself but I won't let her, she's another case of a character that at first seems bad but when you understand her she's still bad but hey you understand a manipulator. Easily deserved her spot on the survivors

2 - James Powley

The dead character with the most complete arc, what a shock he's so high up, honestly I've always wanted to make a perverted character with an arc and I was kinda surprised I'd never seen it before. But I'm glad I got him to survive as long as he did. If he survived he'd probably take Amber's spot

1 - Callum Doyle

To the shock of probably one person, the character I gave the most screen time is the one I like the most, I can't exactly explain why he's my favourite, but he's just a really interesting character to me. Also I really liked writing his twist and interactions

Now that that's done with that, let me say who I think are the best interactions for each character. This isn't based on who interacted best but on who I think would interact best, let's go in death order.

If you stopped after chapter 6 then I understand but going all the way through the extra chapters means a lot as it shows your interest in the book. Who knows maybe a sequel is just round the corner.
