Daryl stayed over at Beth's house for the next few days after that night. They slept, ate, talked a lot and even more than talk they made love. Every chance they got they would be in each other's arms, enjoying each other's bodies. Daryl was in heaven. He finally had his lady with him and actually could feel comfortable with his feelings for her. He still wasn't overly emotional but he would at least tell her he loved her whenever she would say it first. Beth, on the other hand, was a little confused. She knew she wanted to be with Daryl and knew that what they were doing was just going to complicate things with her and Zach but she couldn't seem to bring herself to let Zach know what was going on. Zach continued to call her everyday twice a day. She would excuse herself from the room when Daryl was there so she could talk to Zach without letting on that she wasn't alone. The conversations she had with her husband were short and she would make excuses such as she was busy or that Maggie had came to the door. She hated lying to him but she didn't know what else to do. She really didn't want to tell him over the phone that she was sleeping with Daryl and that it was over between them. She really didn't want to hurt Zach but at the same time she knew she was playing with fire. Eventually this was going to blow up in her face. Zach listened to his wife's voice on the other end of the phone. Something was going on. Beth was never that short or distracted with him on the phone like that. He suddenly felt a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. Did she hook back up with the redneck? He wondered. She had been acting strange ever since he had left. He hoped that that wasn't it that instead she was just feeling under the weather, like she said. He was looking forward to getting back into town so that he would be able to find out what was going on and that they could start working on making another baby since she lost the first one. Zach not only thought that a baby might make her forget the redneck, but he was also eager to become a father. His thoughts got interrupted by his phone ringing. It was his boss. "Zach, my man, how's it going?", Patrick said. "Good. We're almost done with the last one. Should be done this afternoon. " , Zach responded. "Cool, hey, if you get done at the end of the day, call me and I'll let you and your guys off to go home and you to that wife of yours. I know how much you miss her", Patrick told Zach. "Sure thing, boss." Zach hung up the phone and turned to his crew. "Guys, let's see if we can get this done today so we can get home", he said excitedly at the men on his crew. The men all gave an enthusiastic response to that and got right on the job. They all wanted to get home. Zach, especially. He wanted to give his wife a big surprise.
Beth went to work that morning at the vet clinic with Maggie, while Daryl had to go out and do some work for Tyrese at the shop. She was looking forward to tonight for her date with Daryl. She had planned to cook him meatloaf with homemade mashed potatoes with a side of green beans and then maybe relax with a movie that she rented from Redbox that was supposed to be good. The last few days were wonderful and she couldn't stop smiling. "What's with you today?" Maggie asked. "What do you mean?" Beth responded to her sister. "Well, I haven't seen you so happy in a long time. You have a spring in your step when you walk around and you have a glow about you. Are you pregnant again?" "No, no Maggie...I'm not pregnant...just been happy the last few days. I don't know why". Maggie looked at her sister suspiciously. Instantly she knew what had made her sister so happy. "Spill it, Bethy". "I don't know what you're talking about!" Beth exclaimed. "Oh, really", Maggie looked directly at her sister. "I know that look since that was the same look you had when you were with Daryl. What's going on, Bethy?" Beth blushed several shades of red and the guilt in her eyes was evident. "Ok, but you promise not to tell?" she asked. "Bethy, you know I'm not going to say anything. What is going on with you?" "Well," Beth began, "I talked to Daryl a few nights ago. We met up at Joe's and he told me he loved me and that he always had". Maggie was taken aback. She always knew the man felt it but actually saying it was a whole different thing. "Ok, so what happened", Maggie asked with anticipation. "We had a few drinks and then he followed me home and then...well, we ended up in bed". Maggie wasn't surprised at what her sister had just told her but at the same time, she didn't condone what she was doing either. "So what now, Bethy?" "I don't know", Beth answered. "I want to be with Daryl but Zach is gone right now and won't be back for a few days," she continued, "but I didn't want to tell him over the phone. I wanted to wait until he got home". "Does Daryl know that you want to leave Zach for him? Is he ok with this? What are you going to do? Are you going to go live with Daryl in the trailer with Merle?" Maggie fired out one question after another to her sister. "Yes, he knows I want to be with him and not Zach, yes he's ok with it, we've talked about it and he wants me to leave and be with him and we haven't worked out the living arrangements yet." Maggie just sighed. "I hope you know what you're doing. How do you know Daryl won't push you away again like he did before?" "I don't think he will. He says he loves me and won't let me go ever again." "I hope he's right," Maggie said. "Where's Daryl now?" Beth looked at the pile of papers that were sitting in front of her as she rifled through to find an invoice that her father needed. Without glancing back at Maggie, she nervously cleared her throat. "At the house," was Beth's answer. Maggie's mouth fell open and usually she was not surprised by anything her sister did, especially after growing up with her all those years. "Are you serious, Beth? You can't let him stay there. " Maggie scolded. "Mags, I know you love me and are trying to help but please just let me handle it." Maggie gave Beth a look of doubt. Her sister had always been impulsive and she didn't always think things through. Case in point, she married someone that she wasn't in love with because she couldn't have the man she really was in love with. Still, she wanted to support her sister, even though she knew that it wouldn't go as smoothly as Beth was thinking it was going to go. "Ok. I'm always here if you need me, though", she said. "I know and thanks for always being there", Beth said as she hugged her sister.
Daryl finally got done at Tyrese's shop and was on his way to Beth's house. He was really looking forward to tonight since Beth had told him that she was going to fix his favorite dinner. He could practically taste her meatloaf and creamy mashed potatoes. Beth could sure cook and he loved eating her home cooked meals that she made especially for him. He was really hungry but food wasn't the only thing he had a taste for. All day he thought about him and Beth in bed together. Last night was so hot. After dinner, they climbed in the bathtub together to get clean and a short time later the entire floor was soaked with water and suds from their eagerness to be with one another. Daryl chuckled to himself. It's a good thing she cooked for the both of them. He needed food to keep up with her. Seemed that every time he turned around his hands were on her body or vice versa and they ended up in bed, or on the kitchen counter, the dining room table or the living room couch. Tonight would probably be no different and he was so excited to be with her again. He was in a good mood all day and had been the past few days. Ever since that night. He even chatted with Tyrese. Something he hardly ever did. Tyrese silently wondered what made his friend all kinds of happy but never asked. He figured Daryl would tell him when the time was right. Daryl pulled into the driveway and parked his bike on the side, just like he had for the past few days. Entering the house, the smell of meatloaf hit him. His stomach began to growl as he made his way to the kitchen and saw his blonde angel standing there over a pot of boiling potatoes. She had her hair up, revealing the creamy skin at the nape of her neck. Grabbing her around the waist, he kissed her there sending chills down Beth's spine as he did so. "Hey babe, how's everything?" he said to Beth in his low raspy voice. Beth turned around and gave him a kiss on the lips which made Daryl pull her even closer. His hands travelled all over her torso and down to grab her ass as he pushed her closer to him. She grinded up against him and she could feel the hardness that was underneath his jeans. "Mmmmmmm I want you," he told her. "I want you too, just need to finish dinner. Then we can go to the bedroom", she responded seductively. Daryl let out a small sigh and released her. "Ok, if you insist. I say dinner can wait but I love your cooking". He winked at her. "I promise it will be done in just a few minutes." Daryl went into the fridge and grabbed a beer. "Want one?" he asked her. Beth shook her head. Daryl left the kitchen and sat down on the couch in front of the tv . He took off his jacket and his boots and laid across the sofa, relaxing after his hard day. He thought about turning the tv on but what was before him was much more interesting to watch. His gaze ran over Beth's form in the little outfit she was wearing. It took all he could do to not grab her and take her into the bedroom now screw the food. Still he thought, he never saw her as beautiful as in that moment. This is what it would be like being married to her and coming home to her every night. Marriage. The thought really had never crossed him mind. Not until she came along. Maybe, someday. Until then he was glad to just be with her. Fifteen minutes later, Beth called to him from the kitchen to say dinner was ready. They sat down at the dining room table and ate their food. Daryl scarfed down his food, while Beth took her time eating hers. When Daryl was done he just looked at Beth across the table. "You done?" she asked. "Yeah. I am. I think it's time for dessert", he said to her playfully, crossing the room to slide her chair out to pick her up in his arms. "Daryl", Beth slapped at him, "I haven't finished my dinner." "It'll be there when we are finished. I've waited all day for this. I can't wait any longer," he said as he made his way with her to the bedroom and laid her on the bed. A few minutes later, after Daryl had shed his clothes and added to them to the pile of hers at the foot of the bed, he climbed in between her thighs. His hands parted her thighs and moved up to the where her womanhood was spread out for his view. Slowly licking the inside of her thighs, he made his way to her mound and began to kiss her there. His hot, wet tongue sliding over her soft and slow as he traced imaginary letters on her clit. "MMMMM, Daryl" was all Beth said as she threaded her hands in his hair and held him there. Daryl's eyes met with hers. Pure lust and want was all he saw in them right at the moment. As he continued, he could feel Beth start to lose control as he grabbed his head tighter. In a moment her legs began to shake and she called out his name as she climaxed all over his face. He didn't say a word as he moved up her form and slipped inside of her. They kissed passionately and Beth could taste herself all over the scruff on his face, lips and tongue. As he rhythmically moved inside her she could feel herself getting closer to another orgasm. Daryl sensed this as he moved in and out of her and whispered in her ear, "Cum with me, baby". Before she knew it, she was falling over the edge as he lost control. "Beth", he called her name as he climaxed. They laid there for a few minutes, unable to move until at last, he pulled her close just as he always did after they were done. They were both locked in their post-coital embrace as Zach entered the house and moved within until he reached the bedroom and that was how he found them.
