Just as Taehyung thought, the next day Jungkook treated him just like he always does, making him only feel like last night was just a fragment of his imagination, which it technically was.

He walked down the stairs to see the others hanging out, Jin cooking breakfast for all of them while Namjoon talked his ears off about something smart that even Taehyung couldn't stick around for.

He looked around until he could find his other best friend sitting in the living room next to Yoongi, as he was on his phone while the raven was watching tv, but turned his head when he saw the younger coming around the corner.

"Hey, Tae! I was going to ask you if you wanted to go over the song before we go to our performance Saturday." Jimin stated, catching everyone's eyes to fall on him as he walks in.

"Uh, sure. Which one is it?" He questioned, his eyes falling onto the maknae as he stared at the screen before sitting next to Jimin.

"Lovely you asked, I was wanting to know how you wanted to synchronize for our song ON. I know you and Jungkook kind of do it at some point, but I thought it would be cool if you and I did it too!" The older exclaimed, seeing as the blonde chuckled before nodding.

"Sure, let's go to my room to talk about it more."

-
"So you see, I think if we did it right there, it would blend perfectly," Jimin explained as he stopped the music.

"Mhm,"

"And if you listen here," Jimin added, his finger pushing the play button again for the other to listen, "it makes perfect sense!" As the older went to look at the blonde, his smile fell a little as he saw the other spaced out.

"Tae, are you listening to me?"

"Mhm, totally." The blonde mumbled, his eyes stuck to the wall as the other rolled his eyes.

"Tae," he softly said, before flicking the other's head, causing him to grab his head while he whined.

"Is this about Jungkook?" The raven whispered, knowing it was a sensitive topic to mention in the building. The blonde sighed before he rested his head on his best friend's shoulder.

"Why can't life just...leave me alone? Why does it keep bugging me over and over again that one day...it'll all be the same again." Sighing, the older placed his arm around the younger's back to touch his arm before he slowly rubbed it.

"What happened this time? The last time this happened, you said he accidentally walked into your room while you were naked with only a towel wrapped around your waist." Scoffing, the younger puckered out his bottom lip as he went to play with the bottom of his sleeve.

"I thought he wanted to talk to me, but he only wanted to know the password to the wifi."

"Tae-"

"Fine fine," Taehyung fussed, a soft sigh falling from his lips as he hesitated a little.

"I might've caught him coming home drunk last night...and he might've sort of was nice to me." He almost whispered, listening as the other gasped before hitting his arm.

"Tae! Why didn't you tell me?! I would've gotten up and taken care of it for you." Jimin grieved, but his eyes looked over to the other to see the hurt in his eyes.

"I told him, "it's what friends do," when he grabbed my hand and thanked me and smiled at me, something I haven't seen in years," Taehyung mumbled, a tear slowly down his face as he went into a ball form in his best friend's chest.

"I miss that smile."
