Hey You's POVSo. I'm in the Batmobile.
It's really quiet.
Guy is staring at me.
It's creepying me out.
There is a lot of tension.
Is the heater on?
I need scissors.
To cut the tension.
Or a chainsaw.
Or even better, an atomic bomb.
Why does that keep popping up when I think of weapons?
"So... Guy. How are you?" I ask slowly.
"You're bleeding."
"Actually no. My name is... I have a lot of names, but most people call me Hey You. But you can call me Hey for short. You've earned it." I say.
"Thanks?" He replies, looking puzzled.
"I like her." Nightwing tells Guy.
"Hey, where were you the whole time Guy and I were fighting Slade?" I asked.
"Fighting the assassins." He said glumly.
"You missed one." Guy said.
"Nobody's hurt because I missed one bad guy. It's fine." He said.
"So I'm Nobody now?" I ask.
"If you not bleeding out then your fine." He says.
I look at Guy and show him my shoulder.
"Can this please be considered bleeding out?" I asked.
"More than likely."
"I'll take that as a yes."
"You know what?" Nightwing says, "I'm starting to not like you as much."
"Perfect. Also," I turn to Guy, "What's your name, because I'm tired of my subconscious calling you Guy with a capital G."
He smiles at that, "Bruce. Bruce Wayne."
"Oh! You're that guy off a commercial. I love your catchphrase, 'Girls only last a day with me'. Perfect representation of how annoying the female portion of mankind is." I said, smirking.
He frowns, but Nightwing snorts.
"I don't think thats what it meant, but I like your version better." Nightwing said and I felt like he was talking to me, but aiming it somewhere else.
Which brings up something else.
"So are you Batman?" I ask Bruce Wayne.
And then everything goes black.
And then I jolt upward, yelling as my arm is popped back into place.
I spring off the chair I was laying on and twirl around.
There is an old man, hard to tell his age, but old. Then there's Nightwing and Batman.
Yep. Guy- I mean, Wayne, is definitely Batman.
They all just stare at me for a moment before the old guy steps forward.
"Forgive their manners Miss. You, they have no common decency. I would be Alfred Pennyworth, the butler and medic. I'm very sorry to awaken you with the relocation of your shoulder." He says politely.
"Nice to meet you too Mr. Pennyworth. I'm fine with being awaken up in such a manner, but I am stumped as to why it's okay to knock people out for asking honest questions." I said.
