Warnings: scares, violence

*278 words(BELOW)*

Alice strode timidly through the woods, looking around timidly every few steps. Her jet-black hair waved graciously in the forest breeze. It had been a quiet 27 minutes since she left her friend's house, and it seemed like the rest of the walk would be the same until...

Suddenly, a large wolf crossed in front of the little girl. The creature leaned back, rearing up on its hind legs. It now loomed over Alice like an evergreen. Alice's eyes widened, her pupils shrinking.

She was on her way in a split second, pivoting on her heels and streaking along the dirt path, frantically searching for a tree or bush to hide behind. Glancing to her left, Alice saw a small cave. Immediately, her feet veered off towards the cavern.

Upon entering the cave, Alice quickly ducked behind a rock. As she crouched down, breathing heavily, the little girl peered around the rock, searching for the wolf.

"Grrrrrrr..."

Slapping her hand over her mouth, Alice slowly turned around, and her heart leaped out of her chest at the sight. In front of her stood the beast that had been hunting her. All too soon, the creature was leaning forward, its mouth gaping.

Alice screamed, but it was too late. Teeth sunk into her head, piercing through the cartilage and bones in her skull.

"AAHHHHH!!" Alice screamed again, jolting forward. She looked around, but she wasn't in a forest anymore. She was in her bed, heart racing, lungs throbbing with sudden urgency.
