The three chokers each had a small metal plate on the front with the word "friends" stapled across it. The three friends never took them off; they were a constant reminder of the first day they met.
"Hey, Chaz!" the tallest one said, turning her head in the direction of her homie. "What?" Chaz answered, looking at the blonde. "I was thinking--we should go to Skate Town tonight," she replied.
Chaz smiled, remembering the roller-skating rink. They went there every other day when they were younger. "Ellie, that's a great idea! I'll let Autumn know," he said, pulling out his phone and texting the girl. "Done," the sophomore declared, grabbing Ellie's hand and pulling her along. They had their next class, Biology, together.

Autumn briefly startled when her phone went off. She quickly snatched it out of her backpack and unlocked the screen. "Hmmm. Skate Town, huh? Yeah, I'm game," she said to herself as she went on the group chat and replied Yeah, let's do it, before shoving her phone back into the tan pack and returning to her Algebra II classwork.

"Phew! Finally!" Chaz exclaimed as he shut his Biology book. "Time for the weekend, and Skate Town!!" he yelled happily, earning a calm smile from Ellie, who closed her book as well and shoved it in her pack before slinging it over her shoulder.
The two walked out of the classroom and began scouring the halls for Autumn. The two classes were on the same floor, so she should be exiting her room any--
"Chaz! Ellie! Over here!" Autumn shouted gleefully, running over and pushing her way through the crowd of high school students. "Ready to go? Who's driving?"
"I am, don't worry. Come on, let's go, guys," Ellie assured her trio. They continued through the school and soon made it to the parking lot. Ellie pulled out her car keys and honked the horn; she had momentarily forgotten where her car was parked. Turns out the car was only a few rows to the left of where the blonde thought it was.
Once they were at the car, Ellie unlocked the door and Chaz hopped in the back seat, taking the middle, while Autumn plopped down into the passenger seat. Ellie turned her head and gave Autumn a gentle kiss on the lips before turning to Chaz and granting him the same, earning a giddy smile from both of them.
"Alright. Let's go skate!"
