Marianna was at a loss for words. They had just been rejected from the NGT(National's Got Talent) for the darker color of her skin. "Go home, you wretched thing! You ugly creature! Why are you even in this country! Go home!"
All the taunts and jeers replayed over and over in Marianna's mind, whirling around like a blender did when it was churning its contents. "Why do they tell us to leave, when they're the ones who brought us here? We were just fine on our continent, in our own little world. Sure, it wasn't the best or the safest, but you know what? It was our first home. And now we have been brought here, just to be teased, hit, killed, hurt, insulted. Why?"
She paused, taking in a deep breath before shouting out, "WHY!?"
The girl's cries were only met with silence from the empty street.
