How the-
Its been a few days and Im standing in my favorite supermarket looking ahead at a brunet male who has yet to notice my presence.
ℎ𝑜𝑤 𝑖𝑠 ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝐼 𝑎𝑚-?
with a few small strides I make my way over to him, tapping his shoulder.
"hm?" He turns his head to the side, "oh, hey" he smiles.
Fixing my gaze onto his eyes I start, "um where have you been?you havent messaged me in a week"
"oh um, ive been a little busy with 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘"
"Hm okay, you wanna head to the tunnel later? Maybe catch up a bit?"
He lets out a small chuckle, "youre lucky its my day off, sure, we can actually go now, i didnt really need these" he casually holds up a packet of skittles.
I nod, making my way out of the store with him by my side.
While walking, we both pass by a small lemonade stand, the sign poorly put together and the table was messily sprawled onto the curb of the sidewalk.
A couple of cutely dressed kids make their way to us both, offering a cup of yellow liquid, "hi there! Would you like some lemon juice?" A small girl bounces on her heels looking at me with a large grin plastered on her face.
The small girl had beautiful long brown har and big green eyes. She wore a pink dress that flowed down past her knees.
"Uh, sure, let me find my wallet-" I begin patting my pockets successfully finding my wallet and pulling it out. As i pull out a dollar, a hand pushes mine down.
"Ive got it, y/n" Tim interjected, pulling out his wallet, a small smile lightly gracing his features.
He hands the small girl a 10 dollar bill as the other child hand both of us cups of lemonade, "thank you"
The kids retreat back to the table and begin filling more cups and going back to chatting with eachother.
We both begin making the turn for Rosswood park, sliding into the forrest walking along the trail to the Tunnel.
Upon arriving, we begin working together, plugging in the equipment so we can turn on the lights.
"So Tim, whatcha been upto lately?"
I sit on one of the recliners, lazily gazing up at the tunnel walls."Nothing much, Ive been working with a friend, but thats about it. And you?"
I freeze, clearing my throat, pushing down the gruesome memories of my mother, "well um, nothing much either"
I sit up, glancing over at tim who's messing with the t.v, attempting to get a signal. Settling on a news channel, breaking news strikes your ears.
"𝑩𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑲𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑵𝑬𝑾𝑺: 𝐴 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑜𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑜𝑓 41 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑎𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑒𝑟s age 17 possibly 18, ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑔𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔, 𝑎𝑠 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑛 ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒, 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑒𝑚𝑠 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑔𝑔𝑙𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 ℎ𝑜𝑚𝑒. 𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒, 𝑖𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑦 𝑖𝑛𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑡 𝑢𝑠 𝑎𝑡 (###)-###-####, 𝑖𝑛 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑛𝑒𝑤𝑠.."
Tim turns towards me, a questioning look spilled across his face, "y/n?"
I gulp audibly and avert my gaze to the floor, standing up, getting ready to leave if need-be, "Tim i can explain-"
He abruptly stands, walking over to me," Explain what? Why did they say that you and your mother are missing? What did you do? answer me damnit!"
He was now standing only a few feet away, his breath heavy as he gazed down at me, "Tim I, I dont think im going to be able to explain it without you thinking im insane or a monster"
He takes a deep breath and sits infront of me, patting the spot infront of him.
I sit and try to steady my breathing, as tears flow freely down my now salty cheeks.
"Take your time. You have a lot of explaining to do, y/n"
