CHAPTER 35
When we got out of his car, I held my daughter's hand and looked at Klein. I looked at Farah on the front seat, she's asleep. He smiled and waved his hand. I said my thank you first before we headed inside.
Kalina was cheerfully jumping up and down while she's on my hold. Nang tuluyan kaming makapasok sa bahay, she ran towards the nearest couch and sat there comfortably.
"I'm tired, Mommy," she said and faked sleepy eyes.
"You playful girl."
I went to her and tickled her that made her bimmed in laughter. We spent a great time together before we decided to go upstairs.
I looked at my daughter, sleeping soundly. I smiled and remembered all the trials and darkness that I've been through. Walang makakapantay sa sayang nararamdaman ko when I carry her tiny body in my arms for the first time.
I cried when I saw her, enveloped in my arms. Her cute little body. Hindi lang ako ang umiyak noon, pati na rin si Daddy.
I was woken up the next morning because of the light kisses plastered on my face. I saw my daughter waving her cute hands at me while smiling widely.
"I'm going to school today, Mom," she said, the reason for my warm smile.
"Yeah. Are you ready?"
I sat down on bed and she pouted and nodded her head afterwards. We took a bath and readied her to her school.
Rainier went to the office so early but he took us to the school first. I also decided to send Kalina to her school first before I'll go to the hospital.
"Always behave, okay?"
I told her while fixing her uniform. She nodded and smiled. Hinatid ko siya sa room niya at may ilan pang bilin na pinaalala. I also told her teacher to look for her after school, baka kasi matagalan ako mamaya.
When I get to the hospital, I hurriedly went inside. Tita Sarah was outside nang makalapit ako sa private room ni daddy.
"Tita, what are you doing here?"
Her eyes went bright when she saw me. She smiled and hurried to me. I was nervous and waited for her to talk.
"Your dad's finally awake."
"Really?" My eyes watered in delight.
I looked at the room and went inside. There's a doctor doing some things on dad, I just didn't mind it because my sight was pinned on daddy who's looking on the ceiling.
When the doctor went outside, I suddenly walked towards daddy's bed. My tears ran on my cheeks when he looked at me. He couldn't talk yet because there's oxygen on him but I'm still very grateful because he's finally awake.
"Dad! Thank God, you're okay," I sniffed.
He just looked at me like he didn't know me at all. Despite his lifeless stares, I didn't budge to be weak. I looked at Tita who's silently crying on my side.
After a long moment, the door opened and Rainier came in. He immediately looked for dad and went near him.
"He couldn't talk yet because of the oxygen supporting him," I said while we're all looking at daddy.
"It's okay. We won't force it. What's better is knowing that he's okay."
I nodded and looked at dad. I looked at Rainier after I remembered something.
"Ilang oras ka na rito," I said and he sighed before he stood up.
I also stood up and looked at Tita.
