#SC1
Kalina's POV
I rolled my eyes and snorted. I don't get why my brother is so possessive. I mean, look at us now. We're at the table in front of our parents because of his actions.
"Why are you looking at me like that? It's your fault, lady," he said, then shrugged.
"What? How come it's my fault? If you didn't tell mom, this would not happen!"
"Wow, why are you always accusing me? Is it my fault that you disobey our parents? I'm just doing the right thing."
"And because of that fucking right thing, this is fucking happening!" I shouted, hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili ko.
"Kalina!" Dad warned.
I blinked and realized what I'd done. I looked down and lowered my head a bit.
"I'm sorry."
They didn't talk, I just heard them sighing. I bit my lips to stop my tears from falling.
"Why did you do it? I told you that if you want to go out or hang out with your friends, at least let us know. But what did you do? You went out in the middle of the night without us knowing it," Dad said in his lower voice.
I have admired that ever since. Even though he is angry, he just maintains a lower voice.
"And please, honey, your brother's just doing the right things. He told us about what you did because he knows that it is wrong and he just wants you to do the right things. Did you get it?" Mom added.
Wala na akong nagawa kundi ang tumango. I looked at my brother, and he was just sitting beside me, just relaxing, like he didn't care about anything.
"Say sorry to your brother," biglang sabi ni daddy.
Because I was looking at Cade, I witnessed how he slowly moved his head sideways to look at me, and he gave me a smirk.
"Sorry, I'm sorry for everything. I admit it, it's my fault." Mahinang sabi ko.
He just stared at me for a moment and shrugged before he said, "Kasalanan mo naman talaga. No one is claiming your fault."
I just looked down and sighed. He is really like that, and I'm used to it.
"Next time, if you want to go out, don't be afraid to tell us. We are here anytime for you. At wag kana ulit tumakas lalo na kapag gabi. You are big enough to know na delikado sa labas kapag gabi. Babae ka pa naman. If you want to go out at night, at least bring your brother with you." Mom reminded.
I nodded and listened to them. After that, naghanda na ng pagkain si mommy. I looked at Cade when his phone suddenly rang.
"Excuse me," he said, standing up.
After we ate, I went to my room. I laid on my bed and got my phone to call Fhreya, one of my friends.
"Hey, girl! What happened?"
"Well, nothing much happened, ginisa lang nila ako. Well, anyways, may balita ka naba tungkol kay Alexander?"
"Wala pa rin eh," may panghihinayang sa boses niya.
"He didn't text you or give you a call."
"Yeah, wala na siyang paramdam since then. I badly want to talk to him, but it looks like he doesn't want to. Kung ayaw na niya I'll let him go nalang."
"That's good. Don't chase him, always know your worth. And please don't settle for someone who can't even see your worth. Look for someone who accepts you wholly and won't hurt you the way that bastard hurts you."
"Yeah, I know. I'll just, you know, heal from this pain."
"Yeah, that would be great and ipakita mo sa lalaking yun na you are much better without him. Let him see that you don't need him in your life, and when he realizes that he made a bad decision, don't ever let him in your life again."
"Yeah, I will do that, thank you."
"Don't accept him again. You don't need someone like him. You don't need someone who can control your life. Don't you ever commit the same mistakes?"
"Yeah, thank you, girl. I'm so lucky to have someone like you who can always understand me."
After that, I hung up because she had something to do. I stared at the ceiling.
Fhreya had a boyfriend for almost 2 years, and that bastard is Alexander, and he texted Fhreya that he wanted to end their relationship, just like that at hindi na siya nagpaparamdam pa. Like bruh, why did he do that? They've been together for almost two years, and then he ended it like that. What a typical bastard!
He doesn't deserve someone who is nicest like Fhreya. He deserves to die and rot in hell. What a fucking bastard!
I was back to my senses when someone knocked on the door.
"Who's that?"
"Cade,"
"Oh, hi, little brother, just open the door. What do you need?" I smiled at him.
He just looked at me, and his eyes wandered around before he went inside.
"Do you have scotch tape?" he asked coldly.
"Oh," nawala bigla ang saya ko at tumayo. "Just a scotch tape. Anong gagawin mo sa scotch tape?"
"Not your business."
"Okay, then no scotch tape for you, lil bro."
"Why are you acting like you don't know the purpose of the scotch tape?" Naubos ang pasensya niya bigla.
"Oh, whatever." I rolled my eyes and handed the scotch tape to him.
After that, I went to the bathroom para makaligo na. I was preparing my things when mommy came into my room.
"Mommy," I said, and I went to her.
"Ang laki mo na," she smiled.
"Mommy naman eh. I'm still your little girl."
"Yeah. Do you have some matters to do?" He asked when she noticed that I was preparing my things in my bag.
"May pupuntahan lang kami sa lab."
"Okay, you always take care," she said, and I nodded. "Always remember that whatever happens, you can always come to me. Don't hesitate to share with me. I'm always willing to listen."
"Yes, mommy. Thank you. I'm so lucky to have you."
She just smiled and caressed my hair. "Sinong maghahatid sayo?"
"I'll drive nalang, Mom. Dinesh will come with me, pupuntahan ko pa siya."
"Okay, take care."
Sabay kaming lumabas ni Mommy sa kwarto ko. Pagbaba namin ay naabutan namin si Daddy and Cade on the table. Daddy's explaining something to Cade.
"You will go out?" Tanong ni daddy nang mapansin ako.
"I'll go to the lab today."
"Do you want me to drive you?"
"Thanks, dad. I can handle myself."
"Okay, then, take care."
I went to him and kissed his cheeks.
"Take care," Cade said, and I nodded at him and smiled.
I waved at them and went out of the house. I'm so lucky to have a family like theirs. Having them is a blessing.
I maneuvered my car.
I'm taking pre-med. I didn't see myself before becoming a doctor, but as I grew older, I found myself interested in working at a hospital, so I pursued taking up MedTech.
I was driving my car when a loud beep was coming on my way until a loud bang and my car was taking a hard impact. I shouted, nang makitang may malaking truck sa unahan and I tried to control everything, but I lose hope when I couldn't control the steering wheel anymore.
"Lord Jesus," I claimed, but it was too late.
