Chapter Two

It has been a whole week, the week was crazy for Lucia, dress and heel fittings, jewelry choosing, learning what spoons to eat with, learning how to properly walk, learning the correct posture, etc. Lucia did not realize being in royalty was this stressful. It was the day of Apollo's and Lucia's wedding though, Lucia was going to make an announcement before the wedding, she was nervous about it since there would be so many people, even Oliver. Lucia watched groups of people walk into the castle and to the grand hall, where the wedding was being held. Once everyone sat down, beautiful piano music started, the king walked over to Lucia, "Are you ready?" He asked, Lucia hesitantly nodded, the king smiled and linked arms with her, he led Lucia down a red carpet that led to Apollo, Apollo was fake crying, and good at it too. Once the king and Lucia had gotten to Apollo, the king unlinked arms with Lucia, Lucia stood in front of Apollo. Lucia looked at all the people and spotted Oliver, he did not seem happy about this situation. The priest started saying Apollo's vows, at the end of them, Apollo said, "I do." Then the priest said Lucia's vows, Lucia said, "I shall not marry a man who is not honorable enough to have such an honorable name." Everyone was shocked, "What do you think you're doing." Apollo whispered, "I am going to be the women I want to be, not a wife of such a piece of shit." Lucia replied, Oliver smiled, "That's my girl!" Oliver shouted, Lucia smiled when she heard him, Lucia faced everyone who were sitting in very fancy chairs. "I shall become a knight and fight for my kingdom that was once lost many years ago, no matter what it takes, no matter how hard I have to work to get there, I will take back my kingdom and rebuild it to its prior glory!" Lucia shouted, a bunch of young girls got up and cheered for Lucia, Lucia kicked off the uncomfortable heels and ran away from Apollo and over to Oliver, she grabbed his hand. She ran out of the castle with Oliver, "Where are we going!" Oliver said, "The knight station!" Lucia replied, they both ran to the knight station, Apollo tried running after them, "YOU WILL REGRET THIS YOU DAMMED MISTAKE!" Apollo shouted, Lucia and Oliver ignored him, everyone sitting in the fancy chairs gasped at what Apollo said.

Once Lucia and Oliver had gotten to the knight station, the knights looked at them, confused, "You a runaway bride?" One of the knights asked, "I want to be a knight." Lucia bluntly said, it surprised the knights, then the knights started laughing as if she was joking. "Do not laugh at me as if I'm joking, I am being serious." Lucia sternly said, the knights stopped laughing and looked at her, "Listen princess, us men are here to protect you, don't worry about joining." One of the knights said, taking off his helmet. "I do not need a man to protect me. I can protect myself." Lucia said, the knight sighed and gave his helmet to another knight, he walked over to Lucia and got in her face, Oliver pushed him back away from Lucia. "I'll join with her." Oliver said, Lucia looked at him and smiled, "Fine. Then you'll be the one protecting her stubborn ass." The knight said, "I don't think I'll need to, and she's not stubborn. Just determined." Oliver replied, the knight rolled his eyes. "Training for new recruits starts tomorrow. If you are late, forget about being a knight." The knight said, Lucia and Oliver both nodded, "Now go home." The knight said, Oliver picked up Lucia and ran to his house with her, Lucia held on tight. "Why did you decided to join?" Lucia asked, "There was no way in hell I was letting my best friend do this alone!" Oliver replied with a slight laugh, Lucia laughed, she was relieved he decided to join with her. Oliver kept running to his house with Lucia, once they got there, they saw his dad. "Oh no, don't tell me you stole her from the wedding." Oliver's dad said, Oliver and Lucia laughed, "Nope! I ran away myself, we both joined the knights!" Lucia excitedly said, Oliver's dad smiled, "Then this means I should make you both custom swords.", "That would be awesome! Thanks dad!" Oliver said, his dad nodded. His dad walked over to this huge contraption where he would heat up ores to mend, bend, and combine them. Oliver set Lucia down, "Let's get to sleep so we can wake up early." Oliver said, "Good idea." Lucia said, they both walked into Oliver's house and to his bedroom, when they got into his bedroom, Oliver walked over to his wardrobe and opened the creaky wooden doors and looked for pajamas for Lucia and him.
