That's gotta hurt
"QUIDDITCH TRYOUTS TODAY!" Was all that could audibly be heard as James entered the great hall at 8 in the morning.
"James do you have to be so loud? I mean, posters were already posted and everyone is aware." I inform him.
"It's the excitement and energy! You gotta get them excited and pumped." He say with a clap.
"I don't think anyone is going to want to join if you," I say poking his chest, "keep acting like your on some muggle drug." I say with a hearty chuckle.
"You think your so funny." James says, narrowing his eyes at me.
"I know I am." I say smugly, popping a strawberry into my mouth.
"Potter, calm down. Here," Lily says sliding him a plate of food, "eat." She says as he sits down with a surprised and joyful face.
"You just gave me food." He says with a smile.
"So?" She asks.
"I think you are starting to like me Evans." He says with a cocky grin. Lily scoffs in his face as she hides her own through her hair.
"Right, as if. I would rather let the giant squid in the black lake take a whack at me before I would even like you." Lily says.
"So there's still a chance?" James questions. Lily grabs the newspaper off the table and smacks his head.
"No way in hell. I'll date you, when pigs fly." Lily says with a chuckle. James rubs his chin in thought as he stares at the ceiling.
"We'll see about that." He says ominously. The rest of the marauders sit themselves down as they dig into breakfast.
"Hey there kitten." Sirius says, sitting down next to me with a smirk.
"Pads, knock it off with the nickname." James says as he reaches across the table and pulls down on his ear.
"Ow Prongs, piss off. I just pierced it." He says rubbing his ear. I push his hair out of the way and inspect the lobe.
"It doesn't look infected anymore." I say, "I'm proud of you." I say patting his shoulder. He gently smiles at me and I swear his cheeks tinged a small blush.
I could hear the other boys snicker at him as I angrily whip my head at them.
"What are you getting on about?" I shout at them. The straighten up and continue on eating quietly.
"Are you trying out again?" I ask Sirius. Marlene and Sirius had been Gryffindors beaters for the past two years and they had been pretty good. I wasn't much of a Quidditch fan but I saw talent when it was present.
"Yea, I'm going to dominant the competition." He says flexing his muscles. I laugh in his face as he drops his arms.
"Don't fall off your broom." I say taking a sip of my coffee.
