The train ride was silent as the two partners ignored each other childishly.  Judy had her earbuds in, listening to music. Nick was reading over the case again. He still couldn't believe it. So far out of town all for a gang. He closed the file with a sigh and jammed it back into his suitcase. The two would probably be there for a while, so they came prepared. Nick glanced at Judy, who was content with her music. "Judy, listen. I'm sorry if we got off on the wrong foot..." he knew she couldn't hear him, because he could hear her music blaring out of the earbuds. He felt angry but just let it go, sighing again.

Judy looked over after a while, pulling her earbuds out. They had been on the train a few hours now and Nick was sound asleep, clutching his suitcase. Judy figured he couldn't be comfortable like that so she tried to pry it from his paws but to no avail. She gave up mere moments later, huffing and staring out the train window again.

When they arrived she woke Nick up and the two made their way off the train. Anyone from Zootopia could see how vastly different this city was. Judy sighed as it seemed much more boring. Nick cast his gaze around and then the two sighed collectively. "Well, I guess we had better find somewhere to stay." Judy said with a smile. It was already a bit late into the night so there weren't as many animals out and about.

Judy flagged down a cab and the two partners got in after placing their luggage in the trunk. "Hi sir, it's our first time here and we need a place to stay. Any recommendations?" The driver, who was a pig, just nodded and began driving. "Guess he's not a talker..." Judy whispered to Nick. He nodded,  not taking his eyes off of the driver, ears perked. Judy noticed and did the same, listening. There was a quiet radio, and animals talking back and forth. When the driver noticed the two looking, he turned the car radio on and up.

"That's a little odd..." Judy mumbled. The cab began turning down a very un-touristy road and began driving slower. Nick noticed Judy's ears droop and slowly reached for the door handle  and gave it a pull. The door was locked, of course. The door was also designed so the pin couldn't be pulled up manually, which raised a few red flags for the distraught fox.

"Uh, excuse me sir, is this the way to a hotel?" Judy asked nervously. The driver suddenly closed the divider window that kept the two rows separate and Judy gasped in shock and surprise. "Nick! We have to get out of the car!" She shouted in panic, soon becoming aware of the door situation as well. "Might as well calm down, carrots. Wherever were going I'm sure the doors will open." Nick said in a playful tone, but it was clear he was stressed. He grabbed Judy's shoulders and had her look at him.  "You're going to be the fastest of the two of us so when you have the chance, forget about me and run as fast as those little bunny legs can carry you."

Judy shook her head stubbornly. "I'm not going to leave you behind Nick, we're partners..." Nick seemed a bit annoyed. He glanced over and saw that the cab was stopping at a building surrounded by burly pigs. "Judy, it isn't up for debate. I'll hold out till you get back." He gave her a dazzling smile that only he could pull off and then as soon as the driver got out and two pigs came and opened the door. Nick bolted out first and both pigs ran to stop him. Judy quickly saw her chance and took it, bolting out of the cab and and down the street.

She mentally apologized to Nick several times and even paused when she heard him yelp. She looked back and saw Nick being forced in the ground by the first pig while the second started running after her. She was forced to continue on, running back on the main street. She only realized her suitcase was still in the trunk when she was about two blocks away.

"Oh no! My badge and uniform are in there! And my phone is sitting in the seat.. " She groaned, tugging on her ears. "No, it alright Judy, you just have to go to the police station." She nodded to herself in determination but soon became hopeless again. She had no idea how to navigate this city and with all her belongings in that thug's trunk she was in a bind.

She quickly began walking, staring down at her feet as she worried about Nick. "Who knows what those animals are doing to him..." she muttered, suddenly bumping into something. She staggered back but was caught by a large hand. She gasped and looked up, up, and up to meet the friendly eyes of a gorilla in a leather jacket, t-shirt, and blue jeans.

"Are you alright down there little miss?" He asked kindly, but his tone seemed slightly concerned. "Yes! Well, no... but I'm alright!" Judy said quickly, moving away from the warm hand. "Oh, I didn't mean to startle you, you had just bumped into my leg." The gorilla backed up, giving the bunny her space.

Her ears suddenly perked up. Her worried expression melted into a friendly smile. "Oh, it's no problem, I promise! But, it's my first time in this city so I'm a little lost." Judy admitted sheepishly. The gorilla nodded in understanding. "Well, I've lived here all my life, are you looking for anything in particular?" He knelt down so as to not tower over her so much.

Judy nodded quickly. "Yes, actually! I really need to get to the police station!" Her tone turned a bit more panicked again as she remembered the situation at hand. Johnny seemed to frown at the words but ultimately nodded. "Yeah, I know where that is." He said a bit glumly. He held out both his hands to her. "My truck isn't that far, I'll give you a ride." Judy panicked and shouted, stepping back. "No cars!"

She covered her mouth with her paws, ears drooping behind her. "I'm so sorry for yelling..." Johnny simply nodded. "No car then, we'll walk." He smiled. The two began to walk, well, the gorilla walked. Judy had to jog to keep up. "I'm Johnny, by the way." Judy looked up at him. "I'm Judy, nice to meet you Johnny." The two continued on for a bit longer before Johnny stopped walking entirely.

"I know it's a bit strange but, could I just carry you? I feel bad that you have to run behind me." He asked meekly. Judy felt a bit offended and was about to tell him off but remembered how dire the situation was. "Yes, that's fine, but just this one time!" She playfully said with a wag of her finger, if only to mask her unease and stress. Johnny nodded and knelt down, gently scooping her up. She felt a bit scared but Johnny seemed like a trustworthy individual.

He held her close and began a jog of his own down the street. She stayed as close to his body as possible, not wanting to fall. His arm was around her securely though, and soon they had arrived at the police station. He set her down and took a breather while she hurried to the door, only see it less accommodating than all of the different door sizes in Zootopia. She glanced over at Johnny and sighed softly.

"Um, could you get the door for me please?" She asked softly, already feeling deeply indebted to the gorilla. Johnny looked over and nodded, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry about that, that was inconsiderate of me." He held the door open for her and she went in.
