Cake (Nino Love Story)

Chapter 5

Raven

After I'm done, I follow what the assistant said and head on to the party.

After I opened the door, I saw lots of people wearing a mask. I started looking for Nino.

It's a little dark in here, so I might be in trouble searching for her since I have bad eyesight, that's why I always wear my glasses. 

I've got patterns to locate Nino though, of course, her trademark, her twin butterfly-shaped ribbon which makes her cuter and noticeable. I'm like Nino's bodyguard walking beside her. But of course, I'm willing to be one if that's what she needs.

Kidding aside. I continued searching for Nino still no sign of her, so I tried putting down my mask, so at least, if she ever saw me she would recognize that it is me.

I stopped for a moment, my body is exhausted walking around. I sat at the right corner of the area and a waiter approaches me with a drink. Well, the good thing here is, I'm thirsty. I got two glasses of confusing colored drink, it looks maroon but also looks violet. Anyway, it tastes good.

Around two minutes, I saw the waiter that brought me a weird drink earlier and I got three more! It tastes good! I can't help it! I think I'm addicted to it. I'll just finish this then I will look for Nino.

Jeeez! I got 5 glasses of it! I feel the heat coming out of my body. Maybe that's what they called a "wine" and I don't have an idea that it tastes good! I'll ask Nino to have that wine at home.

Nino

Oh, wow! uncle Simon, I'm sure my husband is waiting for me he must be worried sick, can we stop this already? It's not that important to meet Alexa. Geez. (Inner thoughts)

We are in a room near the location of the party, uncle Simon said that I should meet Alexa because later she will be busy.

Is it not enough that we played when we were young? She always stealing my toys and she even tries to steal my sisters! Which makes her my mortal enemy, aside from women who flirt with my Raven, of course!

"Look at my beautiful daughter!" Uncle Simon said, who looks so proud looking at Alexa.

"You know what girls? I'll give you some time, I know you guys have a lot to catch up on. I'll step out for a while" uncle added.

After uncle was gone, we are just looking at each other. She's looking at me like she is more beautiful and more elegant than me. Huh! I hate Alexa's gut! (rolled eyes)

"Hey, Nino. How are you? I heard you are married already. How's your sex life going? How many times a day? Are you guys planning to have a baby this year? Where's your husband? Is he handsome?"

Really? I'm not here for bullcrap, she better shut her mouth.

"Hey, Alexa. It's been a while, how are you doing? Are you still stealing anything? Hmm?"

"What? Nino?! You're still mad about the doll? I didn't steal it, your father gave it to me, you can ask him if you want to"

"Whatever, you can have it. I don't care and I don't like hanging and talking to you. I'll go now, Alexa. I'm sure my husband is looking for me"

"Oh! Okay, Nino. I guess you just don't like me at all"

I walked out of the room and head back to the party. I have seen her ugly face again because uncle Simon asks me to go to that room earlier. Now, thanks to them! I'm searching for my husband! I'm sure he's all lonely looking for me.

I entered the party looking for Raven. I checked every table, the area is huge, so, it will take a little time.

Raven wears a black mask, black suit, white korean style slacks, and laced-up shoes. He's 175 cm. tall, so those type of style looks good on him. Gosh! I'm blushing!

I tried asking the waiter if he saw a blonde handsome man. He pointed at the right corner and said that the man is drunk.

I thanked the waiter, then checked the table. And there! I saw Raven smile, his face is all red and he is drunk!" Jeez. This ass!

"The party hasn't started yet but here you are already drunk!"

"Huh?! D-d-drunk? Me?! Nope!"

"I am s-strong! This is a piece of cake l-love!" Raven added.

"Lets just go home. I hate this party, anyway."

"W-wait! I still want to d-dance with you. Let's enjoy the party!"

"Are you sure you okay? I'll let you dance but don't drink anymore okay?" I told him and he agreed.

We were just sitting and waiting for the speech. Raven's eating chocolate cake, that's his favorite.

"This a great homecoming party, love"

"When I get back home, I wish to have this kind of party" Raven said.

"Well, we could visit the Philippines next month and celebrate this type of party"

"But, sadly, there's no way we could go back to my place" he said while having a sad tone.

What does he mean by saying that? Surely, we can go to the Philippines whenever we want to.

"We are talking about the Philippines, right? Why did you say, we can't go back there?" Asking him for confirmation.

"Nothing" he said.

"Love, I want to tell you a secret" he added looking serious.

"What is it?" Confused but listens carefully.

"I...came from..."

We suddenly stop as we hear the intro of Alexa and all the people started clapping. 

I told Raven that we will continue later.
