Cake (Nino Love Story)

Chapter 2

After I took a shower, I told Raven about the party that we are invited since I'm the one who answered the call earlier.

He was not surprised about it. He said that we should buy new clothes for tonight.

"Did they informed you?" I asked.

"Yeah, I got a text message regarding the cancellation of the meeting and we are invited to a homecoming celebration. Better buy me a suit because I know it's a huge celebration" Raven replied.

"Okay, let's buy a suit at the mall" I said.

Come to think of it. Raven is really happy about it, well I know that Raven didn't come from a rich family but I'm wondering if he experienced going to a luxurious party before.

Out of my curiosity.

"Love, have you experienced going to a huge party before?" I asked him.

"No I haven't, but let me share this story. I have this rich friend who invited me to his birthday before and he said there will be lots of beautiful girls. I was shocked hearing that, of course" Raven said.

"And?" (I'm giving him a cold look).

"I said, no." Raven added.

"That's it? What did you do? So you're telling me you are not interested in girls? Are you gay?! Give me an answer right now!"

"If I'm gay I wouldn't have married you. I would have dated guys instead" Raven replied. 

"So? So? So?! What is it?!"

"Would you let me finish my story first or you'll just gonna complain?"

"Okay, continue."

"Well, normally boys would say yes without hesitation, but for me, it's a different thing because there's someone I like that time. I was composing a song for her so I was kinda busy that's why I declined"

"Like?! You said I was your first love! Did you lie to me?!"

"Did I say that? I don't recall that I said you were my first love, maybe I said the first girlfriend, anyway that's the whole story"

There's nothing special with the story but, why am I annoyed! All this time he was just bullshitting me saying that I was his first love?!

"You know what, I'll just sleep. This is irritating."

"Love, let's go! How about my suit? I'm kinda hyped up because I'm going to a party with my wife"

I stopped for a moment after hearing those words but my reply is different.

"You buy your suit, dumbass!"

"Huh? Did I say something wrong? And aren't you coming to the party?" Raven asked.

"No, I change my mind. I won't go to that stupid party, you can go by yourself" I said, out of frustration.

And I locked the door then hit the bed with my face all red while pouting.

I just can't believe that he would lie to me and I'm sure that he said that I was his first love.

Someone knock the door. I know it was Raven.

"Oh uhm, I wanted to experience it with you but, if you're not in the mood to buy or even go to the party then it's fine. I'll just gonna check our restaurant. I will ask Yuki about the update since it is your day off being a head chef, you take a rest here" Raven said.

I rushed getting off of the bed to say sorry about what I said, but he's already out. I'm gonna find Raven now.

Sure his kinda dumbass but he is very optimistic, so hearing what he said earlier, he's kinda down to think that it's really special for him that we are together at the party I feel guilty.

Raven

Yuki texted me already about the update regarding our restaurant and it kinda far. It will take 10 minutes around using the car, so I didn't bother to go there.

I am at the nearby icecream shop that Nino likes. I am thinking about what's gotten into her, earlier she was very cute while cooking our lunch but right now she's a cute gorilla who wants a banana.

I'm kinda sleepy now it's already 2:00pm. After attacking a whole bucket of ice cream, now I want to sleep. I told Akiro the person who is taking care of the ice cream shop if I can sleep here and he agreed.

I'm dreaming about becoming a pro player again. Where I was the team captain of my guild, and we kill monsters and defeat champions!

But my good sleep is interrupted by a mysterious person who taps my back.

Saying, "Wake up! wake up!"

"Let's go and find a good suit. The car's outside. Don't be stubborn, we're going to the party."

"I don't wanna. I'll sleep here, your acting as if you care for me, just leave." (hahaha sorry love, I'm playing hard to get here).

"You'll get up or I won't cook your food anymore? Decide your life's outcome now."

And just like that, I'm inside the car.

"Didn't know a threat could move you faster than flash" Nino said.

After that statement, I knew that playing hard to get will kill me. It's not the best option when you're talking to Nino.

I don't like eating a scrambled egg every day, or ramen that's unhealthy. I'll just kill myself if that happens.

My wife's blackmailing me, she's using her ability to control me.

Anyway, I'll stop thinking about it.

Nino's driving the car and she is not speaking to me. I don't know if she's still mad or something else.

I'll continue my sleep.

Nino

"I'm still mad, but we will go to the party together, at least you got to bond with your beautiful wife"
talking to Raven while he's asleep.

I look at Raven's face. My husband is cute, he looks like an Innocent chicken! So cute that I can't ignore his request.

"I will search for a suit that suits you well, your wife is very fashionable you know. I will make you more handsome but not handsome enough to stand out." I said while smirking.

"I love you, Raven. When I heard that I'm not your first love, I was frustrated. If only I met you earlier, I could be that person but I understand, we can't control what's gonna happen."
