Chapter 8

Nino

"Yeah, sure! ramen will take some time to be cooked"

I gave him the only photo album that I have. It looks old though, but it is a treasure of mine. Then he opens up the first page.

"Wow! There's a lot of you! Is this your clones?  

"What are you talking about? They are my sisters, and we are quintuplets!"

"Hah! Sure they look like me but I'm much prettier than them!" Yes, of course! I'm confident with my charm.

"Very confident now huh! But wait, you guys are quintuplets and that is very rare!" Raven said.

Now what? Is this his first time seeing quintuplets?! Tss.

"You don't have heart disease or any complications, right?!"

What's he even saying?

"No, I don't have heart disease. I am fine and I can kick your ass if I want! I am healthy as hell, and it's the truth. Anyway, I'll be in the kitchen. I will check the ramen"

"Oh! Okay. "

As I walked into the kitchen, I remember what happened earlier, and it makes me curious! What's that even mean? Gosh! I am still thinking about it while cooking.

Hmm. Why did he give me a ride? Maybe he wants something from me? He should have told it earlier at the bakery!

It's strange but what's odd is when he told me he'd give me a ride! I didn't say no or have a small doubt. It's like I had known him for a very long time.

When I saw him at the bakery with his girlfriend, I felt a spear pierced into my heart! I don't even know what I've felt! It's not the same as Futaro before!

But definitely, it's not loved because that's the first time that I had a clean look at him.

While chopping the chicken, I accidentally cut my index finger with a knife so I screamed! It was a small cut but still stings so I can't blame myself! 

And I rarely experience this, being clumsy is Miku's forte the third sister.

Then I heard footsteps rushing in my direction.

"What happened?!" Raven said looking concerned.

He looks afraid and all sweaty!

"I accidentally cut my left index finger, but don't worry! I'm fine it's just a small wound and it's too far from my kidney"

But I don't know if he heard me explaining. He's just all focused on my wound and then stares at me.

"Where's your first aid kit?" I stared at him. He looks like Yotsuba! I suddenly missed her.

"My first aid kit is in the cabinet, in my room." And he rushed to get it. He's overreacting!

A little while, he came back with the box. We transferred to the living room and start treating my wound.

"Next time, be careful." He said while putting alcohol. I don't know if I should be happy or crying.

"Ahhhhh"!the pain is unbelievable.

After putting in antibiotics, he puts bandage and it's all good!

"Okay, we're done, and be careful always! Change the bandage if it's wet or dirty to avoid infection"

"Okay, uhm.. thank you so much!" (bowing my head)

Then a certain action comes into play to change the mood. He held my hand then kissed my wound! Shocks!

I wasn't expecting that! And my hands just moved so I slap him hard!

"Pervert!!"

He was holding the left side of his face and it's very red like a tomato!

"I'm sorry, Nino!"

"My mom would always do this after treating my wound when I was young." He explained.

I felt really bad about what I did! He was doing it for my part but I slap him! Am I returning to old Nino a savage brat?!

"I'm so, sorry! I wasn't expecting that you would kiss my hand! I am really sorry for slapping you p-please, forgive me" I explained sincerely.

I am standing while saying that. What's gotten into me?! Why am I anxious?

He was shocked by my sudden apologies.

"Please, don't bow. I am perfectly fine and besides, it's my fault for kissing your hand. I already thought we're close"

"The ramen? What happened to our food?" he added.

I know he's changing the topic!

"Oh yeah! I forgot, let's cook it so we can eat already."

It took some time to cook that ramen but eventually, we did. We started eating without talking anything and just focusing on the food in front of us.

I'm still thinking of what I can do or offer after I slap him hard. The ramen is not included, of course!

Oh! Got an idea! Oh yeaaaah! Nino, you are so smart!

I have two tickets here and one is for Kaguya my best friend. She owns a small ice cream shop and we see each other every weekend. Tomorrow is Saturday, I was supposed to give one of the tickets to her because yesterday was her birthday, but now I change my mind. I will give her the avocado cake that she likes.

And I will treat Raven-san to a movie, instead! But I'll ask him to pay for popcorn and drinks, of course! Only if he agreed. Then, we are good to go!

Wait? What if he thinks that I am inviting him to a date?!

I am a girl and he's a boy! People will get the wrong idea including him! Huhu!

And, I'm saving money for my bakeshop. I don't want to spend money unless it's necessary.

I only apply for the job to get these two tickets! They're giving their applicants these freebies, which I think it's great! Though I have my money from the bakery, I don't want to spend what I earned!

I only heard it from Kousie when he told his friend that he's also looking for a job. So I asked him about the details then he told me everything. 

That's the whole story of two tickets and it didn't come from my pocket! So, it's fine to treat him with this.

Anyway, I told him about the agreement but he declined.

"I have an appointment for tomorrow" he said.
