Nino
And we opened the resto. Slowly, customers are going inside.
Around 8:30 am, usually people coming here early because of our best-selling banana cake.
We mostly embrace the Banana cookie Filipino cuisine, that's what my hubby wants and it did become successful. It's not that expensive but the flavor is rich.
My husband really loves banana cake besides chocolate. When my staff makes banana cake, I make sure that the flavor will surely explode. Not only to have a good result but to impress Raven every day.
He manages everything except cooking, serving good food is the least I can do to help him.
Even if he is the manager and owner, he interacts with customers. He based everything on their preference. He does have an assistant and that is Leo, he is an assistant on weekdays and the one who manages the restaurant on Saturday and Sunday.
I have 5 staff, 6 including me but our main job is to cook and we are chefs so it's just a piece of cake.
Raven has done everything from processing the delivery of ingredients to managing salary. I can always count on him. And, Raven is so advance that he has contacts with people, and whenever we need something, Raven provides it without questions and for the record, we never ran out of supply.
The staff is happy with the way they are treated and the business grows every day. I can say that without him the future for our business will be a failure.
"Chef" my staff called me.
"This one customer is stating that he came from Aussi Master chef, a TV show Koenji Hikari."
I'm so surprised by what I heard, Koenji is a prodigy at the age of 13, he started cooking the Master chef kid edition. Now, he is 18 and is recognized all over the world already.
This famous, hid the signature Filipino dishes. I know those details because I'm watching that tv show as well.
So I asked my staff for his business with me or anything he needs.
"What does he need from me?"
"He wants to taste all of your dishes. He wants to check our resto if the quality of the flavor will stay in his mouth or we will have a bad review."
She's right this is crucial one fatal.
One mistake will lead me into the pit of hell.Chefs are pretty sensitive when it comes to the taste of the food but before that, they also look at the texture of how it is cooked, one look and will give them doubt to the dish.
So I called the chefs from the restaurant area on the 2nd floor. I did some talking to boost their morale and become more confident about what they would cook.
And if this day would pass with a bang, I'll increase their salary. I'll tell Raven that they have done a good job.
I wonder if Raven is finished meeting up with Miku so that he could help us here. I needed him to entertain the chef, as the manager, well, Raven is usually talkative.
He can make people around him happy.
Is it bad to rely on my husband a little? Hehe just a little though.
We were preparing the ingredients. The first dish that I'm planning to show is our special adobo, it has a spicy feel and the flavor is very rich and it was a uniquely Filipino dish.
The Philippines is the birthplace of Raven. He always includes the place wherever we go, he is always happy when I mention that place. Last year, we visit the Philippines and conduct a feeding program to help the child and elderly. Raven's a good person and he loves people.
And, staying beside him makes me a good person as well.
"Chef"
"Manager Raven is already talking to chef Koenji"
Chef Koenji looks so happy. They're like friends already.
"Thank you, Elina, you can sub me to the first floor and help the chefs to prepare the dessert for other customers while we are busy preparing for chef Koenji."
"Ok chef! Noted already!"
"Thank you, love. Just hold on and I'll make the chef fascinated with our dish"
"I nailed it, promise!"
