The crimson red blood trickled from the hands of the three so-called 'saviors' as they finished off the last living person they were against. It was a hefty amount of work for them to clean up and destroy the evidence remaining. That's why Yangyang was in charge of bringing Serene to their base while the two same-aged members took care of the scene. The girl, who had simply watched every move they threw at their opponents, couldn't comprehend why she was required to join.

"Looks like you're coming with us," he gleefully hummed and pulled the girl towards the van. "You'll probably stay with us until the situation dies down."

That's how Serene ended up in the base of the gang that helped her.

"How about you? I'm curious about you," Yangyang chuckled. He was the one accommodating Serene who honestly wanted to go home at this point. His immeasurable curiosity made him seem a little too cheerful than she had imagined. "I think you'd have a rough past."

"Why should I tell you?" Serene scoffed, disregarding the boy. Her eyes were on her things, especially the bag of money she received from Jaemin. Her main priority was to go back home with no suspicions— not befriend a guy in a gang.

"Why are you so tight-lipped? I basically trusted you with all my information," Yangyang brooded, a pout forming on his face. If you were to ask if he was a part of the gang or not, you'd probably choose the latter. "This isn't fair."

"Well, I don't know why you sounded like someone who was about to die and decided to tell their story before they leave earth," Serene sarcastically responded, not a single shift in expression. Every time she heard her wristwatch click, the more fretful she was starting to get. "Better luck next time."

"I knew it," Yangyang lamented, staring at his phone. He couldn't decipher why he was unknowingly attracted to the girl. Was it perhaps the scene of her kicking ass? Did he find her cool? Is it because he hasn't experienced befriending a girl? He couldn't pinpoint the exact reason, which is probably why his curiosity spiked. "This calls for Haechan. He can find something about you."

"How long do I have to stay here? You essentially brought me here even though I wasn't hurt or any of your obligations," Serene groaned, aspiring to go home. It was even worse than the feeling of staying late at school because your teacher decides to extend her class despite the bell ringing minutes ago. "I didn't go through all that to not get a wink of sleep after."

"You could sleep in the shared bedroom or my zone. It's the nineteenth zone, next to Shotaro's," he apprised me. Although he was curious, he did answer the essential questions to satisfy her needs. "It's most presumably safer in the shared bedroom than in the zone."

"That white-eyed guy spooked me out for a bit," she uttered abruptly, chills going down her spine as she remembered the boy's pure white eyes and the splattered blood on his eyelid. She could have sworn that he had looked like a corpse walking.  "You can barely see his pupils."
