Betty pov

"Oh please don't play coy with me Betty" Veronica scoffed in annoyance while I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not Veronica. I told you. Nothing happened between Archie and me" I lied with piercing affirmation.

"Oh please Betty! We both know the FBI only helped you master the art of manipulation" She retorted bitterly glaring at me and I agape her in shock.

"Excuse me?!" I challenged taking a threatening step towards her before Archie intervened by coming in between us. Of course he always comes to Veronica's rescue, trying to protect her from anything and anyone. I'm merely nothing more than just sex to him.

"Hey hey hey what is going on here?" Archie asked in alarm looking back and forth between the both of us.

"Do not be alarmed Archikens!" Veronica assured running a hand down Archie's arm in an intimate manner as I clenched my jaw.

" We were just having a girl chat" He concluded wrapping her arm with Archie's.

"See you at lunch Betty" Veronica called out sweetly while tugging Archie away from me.

"I wouldn't count on it" I replied coldly glaring at her before walking the opposite direction to the mechanics shop. Kev met up with me after school ended.

*******

"Did she really say that? What a bitch! She would know all about manipulation since she practically invented it" Kev argued offensively being the loyal friend that he was.

"I wanted to rip her hair Kev" I muttered irritably.

"I would of been right there with Bets" He called nodding his head.

"And what's worst is her clinging onto Archie all innocently" I elaborated on my long rant.

"Archikens" We both mocked Veronica simultaneously and we both stared at each other for a couple of long seconds trying to suppress our laughter but failing miserably.

"we are on the same frequency Betty Cooper" Kev laughed as I did the same along with him.

"It's just so hard not to? I mean Archikens? What the actual fuck?" I laughed as Kev laughed even louder, genuine tears running down his face.

"Ar-arch-archi-kens" He said in between laughter and I laughed humorously.

"It's so fuckin stupid!" He concluded wiping dry tears from his face while trying to collect himself but still chuckling to himself nonetheless.

"Even after all these years, she is still that same vain and toxically ambitious bitch we met back in Sophomore year" Kev said in all honesty and I agreed with him.

"I had high hopes that she had changed for the better" I admitted sadly.

"She is Hiram's daughter, people like that no matter how hard they try, can never truly change" Kev said.

"How about being the daughter of a serial killer?" We heard Veronica's voice call out angrily making us and our heads her direction. In all her devilish glory, Veronica stood side by side next to Archie, who looked equally displeased by our shady conversation. Neither Kev or I blinked an eye in remorse. We didn't say anything that wasn't true.

"Excuse you?" Kev said defensively taking a protective step in front of me.

"Kev let it go" I whispered grabbing a hold of his arm.

"What? Are you gonna fight me too Kevin?" Veronica challenged standing firmly.

"I should" He retorted glaring back at her.
