Betty pov

The baby is doing fine so I've been discharged today. Archie's ribs have been healing pretty rapidly and he says he has to thank the army for that one.

Veronica and Reggie will be picking us in half a hour. "Are you sure you're fine Betty?" Archie asked the 100th time.

"Yes Arch. I'm still in a little bit of pain but its natural until I heal from the inside out" I reasoned rubbing my belly gently. "The most important thing is that our baby is okay" I added as he smiled.

"The most important thing to me is that you both are okay" Archie corrected me as he laid a soft kiss on my forehead.

"How does the saying go? Happy wife. Happy life" A familiar voice sang happily walking through the doors.

"Kev!" I greeted excitedly rushing towards him as fast as I could with a huge cut on my belly.

" How are my two favorite patients?" Kev perked happily rubbing my upper belly captiously.

"We're doing good Kev" Archie smiled as Kevin scoffed playfully. "Pfffff. You wish I was talking about you Andrews. I was referring to my bestie and the beautiful baby" Kev cooed kissing my forehead and Arch rolled his eyes playfully.

"Of course you were" Archie laughed as Kevin patted his back with a soft chuckle. "I'm just teasing. I care about you too" Kev smiled as Archie chuckle. "Well that's a relief" Arch teased making me laugh.

"I thought Veronica was picking us up" I commented as Kev nodded. "She was but then Cheryl needed some help and she asked me to come pick you both up" He smiled as I nodded in understanding.

"Don't be so disappointed Betts. Just because Veronica took you to and from the bathroom does not mean she is upgraded to best friend status. That's all me. I'm your one and only Betty Cooper" Kev teased narrowing his eyes at me as I laughed.

"You're my one and only Kev" I retorted with a smile as he grinned proudly as Archie snorted in amusement.

"Let's go besties" Archie teased as Kev grabbed our belongings while a nurse came in with a wheel chair to escort me out. I'm not suppose to walk too much the next two weeks.

Everyone was waiting for us back home. A small 'welcome home' gathering for the both of us. As a hormonal pregnant woman, you bet your ass I cried a bunch.

"You guys are too sweet" I cried as Veronica comforted me.

"Get her more tissues" Cheryl ordered looking up at Reggie as he did as told.

"It's okay. I'm done crying" I argued drying my tears as Toni chuckled in amusement.

"Trust me when I tell you that you will be crying like this at least once a week from now on" Toni mused as I laughed.

"I figured as much" I teased looking up at her.

The rest of the night was spent in amazing company. Lots of laughs and cries later everyone decided to call it a night.

"Call me if you need anything" Veronica insisted as she helped clean up along with Kev.

"I will Thank you V" I smiled as she hugged me.

"One call away" Kev reminded me as both of my friends waked out of the house.

"We're right next door if you need anything son" Archie's uncle offered patting his back and giving me a small hug as both Jackson and him walked out of my house.

"Thanks uncle Frank" Archie smiled gratefully closing the door softly.

"Finally" Archie sighed pulling me closer to him and pecking my lips.

"Let's go to bed. I'm tired. All those meds are making me drowsy" Archie whined as we slowly made our way upstairs.

"We're tired too" I mused looking down to my belly.

After we both got ready for bed. Arche made sure he had his bat and I made sure my gun was safely tucked on my bed side.

I snuggled as closely as I could to Archie without hurting either of us.

"I love you Betty" Archie smiled kissing my forehead in the dark.

"I love you more" I smiled softly as we both fell into a steady sleep.
